I do too. Hopefully, when they get in there, they'll find that structural damage is as minimal as it could be under the circumstances.TSonn wrote:I hope Teddy's surgery goes well today!
I hope they inject him with Peterson's Wolverine blood to promote healing.Mothman wrote: I do too. Hopefully, when they get in there, they'll find that structural damage is as minimal as it could be under the circumstances.
Best comment ever......dead_poet wrote: I hope they inject him with Peterson's Wolverine blood to promote healing.
I'm told Teddy Bridgewater had his knee surgery this morning and is now recovering well. Long road ahead, but he has a positive attitude

Best wishes for Teddy on a full recovery.
Other damage other than what? Just ACL? That would be amazing. Or other than the "other structural damage?"Mike Zimmer said the report was that Teddy Bridgewater's surgery went well today and he doesn't believe any other major damage was found.
I'd have to assume the latter but we still haven't heard the specifics of the other structural damage, have we? I wonder if we will.dead_poet wrote: Other damage other than what? Just ACL? That would be amazing. Or other than the "other structural damage?"
Good news!
However, by definition, a dislocated knee tore more than just #TeddtyB ACL.

@mattvensel @crewbacker Still hoping for the best. 2 ligaments and no additional damage carries a reasonable prognosis.
If one of those ligaments is partially torn or stretch badly, can it still be repaired? And assuming he heals perfectly, would his knee ever be as strong?chicagopurple wrote:with a complete dis-articulation of the knee it is HIGHLY unlikely that the other ligaments, ie MCL, PCL, meniscus, are all intact. If they were intact, the knee would no have been able to dis-articulate. At the very least those ligaments must have been extremely stretched, partially torn, I believe the Vikes will keep it VERY private and we will not hear the true diagnosis. It is not in their interest to have the rest of the league and all free agent QBs fully aware of just how desperate the team may be.

Teddy Bridgewater had his left knee surgically repaired yesterday. The procedure was performed by Dr. Dan Cooper at the Carrell Clinic in Dallas, TX. The knee dislocation resulted in Teddy needing a multi-ligament reconstruction. I was able to be present in Dallas, support Teddy and observe the entire procedure. The repair was excellent and gives Teddy every reason to be very optimistic.
Teddy already began the rehab process yesterday, will return to Minnesota to continue on the road to recovery very soon and looks forward to getting back on the field.
