My first impression of the new helmets was "hey, a grape tootsie-pop"

I'm having a real hard time gauging what the shade of purple really looks like. In some of the photos at vikings.com its very dark, and in others its nearly as bright as in recent uniforms. That goes for both the jerseys and the helmets.

Uniforms look WAY better in person. Ponder, Griffen, Rudolph, and Felton are modeling them right now.

I like the new helmet. I preferred the pre-2006 horn without the unnecessary illustrative touches they added but in essence, it's still the Vikings horn and I'm glad they didn't mess with it anymore. It's a shame the vents toward the back of the helmet overlap the horn but there's nothing to be done about that.

The matte look is nice. I don't know how it will look on the field but it sure photographs well.

The sleeve stripe flaring upward into a wider shape on the back is an unexpected touch but at first glance, I don't have a problem with it at all.

Overall, it's a good-looking uniform.

They put a hornish on the sleeve too?!

Definitely ugly looking numbers though. Otherwise I like them. Might not even notice on the field anyway.

Wow, I actually really like the all-purple uniforms. Surprising.

I'm pretty pleased with everything about them, except maybe the font on the numbers. Some look better than others, but that 8 on the left side is brutal. They should've just stuck to subtle hints on the serifs if anything. The matte helmet looks great and I like the ship-looking stripe on the shoulders. Definitely an upgrade from the last ones imo.

I would have obviously preferred horn-less numbers, but honestly the thing that bothers me the most about them is that only the first digit gets the horns. The fact that is sits beside a horn-less number makes it stick out like a sore thumb. If they both would have had it it wouldn't be so jarring.

Again..minor complaint. People are obsessing over it now because they're looking at it full screen on their computers/phones/whatever. When you see them on the field it won't be so....aggravating. Overall they look pretty good. Compare them side-by-side to last year's unis and it's clear that the new unis are better. Just my $.02

At least they're not the Dolphins new unis; looks like Wallace took a $h!t in his pants...

Why not purple pants with the white jersey? All white is kinda weak

All purple, with at least some white in the socks looks great, at least to some forum members! It will be great seeing Patterson stretching these uniforms out, down the field!!!!!!
