almost as mad as trading a 2nd for a DE, and then flipping him in 5 weeks for a 3rd :smilevike: :smilevike:

Between that, the panic Bradford trade because they refuse to have a quality backup QB, and being on the 30 year offensive line rebuild plan Rick should be fired. My house will probably be paid off by the time Rick brings in some guards that are NFL caliber.

Why do you think the guy was traded? He was getting sacks. Was the rest of his game that bad? Now were in the same boat looking for a DE. Bad trade for nothing. Maybe he was on his 12th massage therapist and they felt something seemed wrong.

The reason I believe he was traded had to do with the Vikings seeing the salary cap writing on the wall. Also a possibility he was already unhappy in Minnesota. He did not have much support on the D line, Barr was injured early on, and his role was primarily as a rush edge. Stopping the running game was not a strength for the guy, especially when there was little help around him. Was just a bad deal all the way around.

Well, so much for the quick fix for the O-line. Oh well. The rich get richer. Darned Chiefs. How do they afford all these studs?

I don't see how they will afford a big contract for him unless the cap goes up big time or they pay nothing for their defense.

Funny enough 4 of their top 5 cap hits this year are on defense. On offense, their only significant cap hits are Kelce and Hill since Mahomes hasn't hit his big cap hit yet.

Next year Frank Clark, Mahomes, Thuney, Jones and Hill will take up 159 million of the projected 203 million cap. If the Chiefs franchise or extend Brown, you would have 6 players making about 80-85% of the salary cap. Their top 9 players would be making 191, leaving about 12 million in cap to spend on the rest of the roster.

From a cap standpoint this next season is their best chance to win it all again, and trading for Brown will help increase their chances of doing just that.

Orlando just said that he wants to be a Chief for a long time so yeah, not very surprising

Maybe we should sign Eric Fisher.

He would be a solid upgrade, but I hear he won't be ready for the beginning of the season.
