I’m not gonna lie, I’m already sick of hearing the media blow up this packers team. They are acting like this defense is the next coming of the 85 bears. Yeah sure they played good week 1 but let’s be honest, trubisky was pathetic. And I don’t believe it was all because of that defense. I just don’t think trubisky is a good QB. I mean the Bears were 21st in total offense last year and were largely carried by their defense. It’s not like the packers just held the rams or chiefs to 3 points. It was the fricken bears.
No less I just about threw up when they gave Rodgers “player of the game” last week. He had 1 play that gained the majority of his yardage. He missed throws all night and threw a junk TD pass to jimmy graham. It disgusts me how much the media is obsessed with that team and Rodgers. They haven’t been relevant in a few years now and Zim is 5-1-1 against them since 2016.
In a way I’m glad we’re underdogs because we play better when that is the case.
My newborn son says 24-13 Vikes and I agree!
Yesterday, I tortured myself by listening to Colin Cowherd on Fox Sports Radio. He had some doofus on there doing "The Headline Before the Headline." Basically, it's a prediction segment using "creative" headlines before the games are played.
This idiot (can't remember his name), a so-called expert, picked the Packers to "win big." Check out his reasoning ... "I don't see how this Vikings team, which disappointed everyone last year at 8-7-1, can hang with Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay on the road."
Never mind that the Packers were 6-9-1 last year and 7-9 the year before. Somehow, that's immaterial, even though Erin played all 16 games last year.
My dream is that the Vikings not only win tomorrow, but embarrass Green Bay, much the way we did in 1998.

Lol what a joke. It blows my mind how some of these guys actually get paid for crap like that. I feel like many of us on here could make good money being “experts”. Because I can tell you we know more than a lot of those guys.
No less we 100% “ran” with GB last year on the road and had the game won if it wasn’t for our kicker. 2 of their tds came off a blocked punt and drop by Treadwell. And cousins drastically outplayed Rodgers in that game as well as the one at home. And like you said, they were 6-9-1 last year WITH Rodgers all year. But let me guess, they would use the excuse of “Rodgers wasn’t 100% in that week 2 game last year because he had a sore knee”. Give me a f-ing break. All they do is kiss that guys as# and I don’t get why. The “best in the game” and he’s been to and won ONE Super bowl in 12 years now, going on 13. How is that “the best in the game”? He’s past his prime and not the hero the media thinks he is. The best QB in the game should be able to get their team at least to the playoffs no matter how bad the team is. He didn’t even come close and he had plenty of weapons.
But regardless, yeah let’s blow this defense up because they held the 21st ranked offense in the NFL to 3 points.....what an accomplishment

How about the Vikings defense holding the #6 offense to 0 points up until the 4th quarter? Let’s talk about that!

PHP.. haha bro you are really JACKED UP excited about that new Viking fan.. or ur running on no sleep... dont hold back and hold it in, tell us how u really feel bro!!!!
No I totally agree. I just get SO sick of the disrespect the Vikes usually get and the absolute TOTAL B.S. LOVEFEST thatbthe Packers always get, especially Erin. As stated, I have a few buddies at work who talk NFL constantly, and we always say How the heck are these idiots making the money the make with the stupidity they spew on TV and radio, and here we are working for what we do, and we definitely are completely more knowledgeable than these morons.
There are very few I can stand to listen to anymore.
Listened to the analytics guru Cynthia Freuland go on and on last night about how Cook wont be able to run on the Packers blah blah blah.
I hope it gets about 150 yds today AND we pass all over them, and I hope we just maul Erin and pick him off at least a few times.
Even if we do, the talking heads will have some excuse why. It's just sickening

I listen to Cowherd a little every week. He is in love with Erin Rodgers. Sickening!

What's up with Elflein now? Need continuity up front.

Out.
Vikings LG Pat Elflein (knee) is inactive for Week 2 against the Packers.
Dakota Dozier will fill in. It's never ideal to lose a starter, but Elflein was a massive liability in 2018. His absence should not have a huge effect on Dalvin Cook. Also inactive for the Vikings are LB Ben Gedeon, CB Mike Hughes, CB Mackensie Alexander, DT Jalyn Holmes, DT Armon Watts and OT Oli Udoh.

Those who wanted him benched get their wish. I personally am not at all excited to see Dozier take his place.

Well they need to slow Rodgers a little bit. If we don't play any D I don't see how we win. 10/11 over 10 ypa. You can't allow that. Who's getting smoked?

I'm not able to watch but why are they passing? 2 TOs already. They can't stop our rushing attack.
