So play him more, for Pete's sake! He's done positive things whenever he's been involved this season. Use him more on offense. :wallbang:
I agree. Man it's frustrating! :wallbang:

But he IS playing more. Zimmer has said he came this year with a better attitude, and now he is getting more opportunities because of it. He has done well with those opportunities and I'm sure we'll be seeing more of him. Just maybe not as much as some Vikings fans want. Maybe Zimmer is afraid it might go to his head and cause a regression in attitude if he gets too much too soon.

I meant "more than he's been playing thus far this season", not "more than last year".

Maybe but Charles Johnson isn't producing and Patterson is clearly hungry for playing time and doing well with his limited opportunities. It's time to make him a bigger part of the offensive game plan and see how it goes. Heck, it's way past time.

i wouldn't be opposed to that, I was just suggesting a possible reason why it isn't happening. :)

I don't think the wait will be too much longer for Patterson. With Diggs and Thielen playing as well as they are, and with the work Patterson's been putting in, I think not only has he paid his dues (and maybe been humbled?) I think the opportunity to get him on the field without sacrificing more effective and consistent play at WR is on the horizon when this team goes 3 wide. He'll probably be the 3rd or 4th option on most of those passing routes, but he'll be an option, and they'll be able to utilize him on plays designed for him and maybe even more importantly as a decoy.

My expectation is that by the end of year it will be a main core of Diggs, Treadwell, Patterson, Thielen, Wright.

I think Treadwell is quite a ways behind Diggs and Thielen at the moment. I really think those guys are playing the best out of the WR corps. Part of my optimism for Patterson in the near future is that I don't think the drop off between he and Wright or Johnson is very significant at this point. Add in Patterson's playmaking ability, and I think he's at least close enough to those guys as a WR that his extra dimension makes him the best option as the WR3.

Norv has had 3 years to find a WR. Myself I don't like these, sit them on the bench and not play them...games.
Start playing them all and see who performs. We know Diggs & Rudy and Thielen has been getting it done.
Next man up...

I think he's still looking for his contact lenses?
