Heads will roll soon if this situation doesn't resurrect, but part of me thinks Frazier was put in a lose-lose by Spielman. Whoever had the bright idea to start Freeman is the current man on thin ice right now, if you ask me.

I still like Fraizer as a leader, but Musgrave is another story.

WTH were they thinking to cut MBT instead of Ponder? STOOPID. Why didn't we even try MBT before going shopping for another team's rejects? STOOPID. This season is toast, now is the time to get the young guys out and let them have some playing time.

Coaching career

In 2001, Plank began his coaching career as a defensive coordinator in the Arena Football League for three seasons under former Dallas quarterback Danny White. In those three seasons, the Arizona Rattlers played in three consecutive Arenabowls. In 2004, Plank was hired by Arthur Blank to be head coach of the Georgia Force, an Arena Football team he owned in addition to the Atlanta Falcons. Plank was named the AFL's Coach of the Year in 2005 and 2007, leading Georgia to the playoffs in every season and in his first year, ArenaBowl XIX in 2005. In Plank's first four years as an AFL head coach, he won more games in that period than any other coach in the history of the AFL. In 2008, he was a seasonal assistant on the Atlanta Falcons staff. The Falcons played in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs. In 2009 he served as the assistant defensive backfield coach for the New York Jets under head coach Rex Ryan, the son of Plank's former defensive coordinator, Buddy Ryan. The 2009 Jets defense led the NFL in fewest total yards allowed, fewest points allowed, and fewest TD passes allowed. The Jets played in the AFC championship game versus the Colts. In 2010, Plank became a football program assistant at Ohio State. The Buckeyes earned a share of the Big 10 title with an 11–1 record and beat Arkansas in the Sugar Bowl. On August 31, 2011, Plank became head coach of the AFL's Philadelphia Soul. In Plank's first year, the Soul compiled a regular season record of 15–3 after going 6–12 the previous year. The Soul played in ArenaBowl XXV versus the Arizona Rattlers. The Soul established new franchise records in wins, scoring, rushing, and defensive takeaways in 2012.[6]

On September 5, 2012, Plank was named head coach of the Orlando Predators.[1]

I was hoping Gruden mysteriously disappeared out of the announcers box and the cameras would pan over to our sideline just in time to catch him storming down our side of the field throwing on a vikings cap, snatching the headset off of Fraziers head and giving him an asschewing right before calling a timeout, ripping musgraves baby blanket play-sheet, calling the players over and drawing up a tactical series on the ground with a stick. Then after a comeback win, he marches up to the owners box, messes up spielmans perfectly gelled hair, walks up to wilf and says "where do I sign?!"

One thing I saw Siefert mention that may play to our advantage: in addition to the Wilfs not minding spending $$ to lure a coach here, many coaches will be interested in getting a high-round first-round pick/QB who can be "their guy." Provided, of course, they have some say in who is drafted and can work under a GM as opposed to alongside the roster decision-maker (not something that can be overlooked).

Why is it so many are against Holmgren as HC or GM (the real kind of GM, not a half a$$ed GM like we have now)? Just because hes an ex packer? I don't like them either, but if we can handle Favre (which I can still barely just stomach) why not him? We have money to throw at him. And screw Williams. Give Fraizer his job if he wants it. Williams has run our D into the ground.

Because he is not a very good GM. What has he done as GM? AS HC? Meh, maybe, as long as he surrounds himself with some young, hungry and knowledgeable position guys and coordinators. And can anyone tell me when the GM/HC idea has ever worked in the modern era?
