Holy crap, as if none of you people never did anything bad, the ONLY difference is that the messed up crap he does gets put into the spotlight.
*thinks* Hmm. Actually, no. No I haven't. At least not on purpose. :)

lol. So he can kill thousands of little birds with a gun and kick a 5'0" female's @$$?

You're right. He's tough. Good argument. Real solid point. lol.

This isn't football-related but the piece about Cole opened with something that really disappointed me and I had to mention it. Others may not be bothered at all but I suspect Dan, at least, will understand my reaction:
That sounds horrible and it doesn't sound like "hunting" to me, it sounds like slaughter.

Anyway, Cole has dropped 10-15 pounds, feels more agile and wants to to compete for the starting MLB job.

Wait a minute. They went down to MEXICO!, with guns and shot that much? I lived in Arizona for 15 years and not only would I avoid entering most of the country, I wouldn't even think of going down there with guns, or to hunt!

First off I did not realize that you are a girl. That being said, where do you get off being so judgemental? I am sure that you do not even have a clue about his character issues, do you

I was the only one who questioned his character on this? Are you blind? Besides, the character comment was a bit of sarcasm.

And you can't possibly be serious that the "Melanie" in my screen name wasn't a dead giveaway to my gender! C'mon man. Seriously. That is sad--just like this bird-murd.

I am fairly certain that I did not say that you were/are the only one that questioned his character and so what does that matter  And now I am sad just like the bird murderer because I did not realize that MelanieMFunk is a girl 5-0 and ?lbs.
Again very judgemental :!:

My goodness, have none of you ever see nature get out of control in third world countries with bad wild life management?? Look up you tube for rabbit infestations in Australia. Millions upon millions of rabbits eating and multiplying and destroying all things growing for hundreds of square miles. The same is true in places like Mexico and Venezuela with these birds. Imagine how bad it must be to see that many birds in 4 days and how many got away. Probably a result of the governments meddling as usual. Not everywhere on earth is like America.

Here, check this out. they are everywhere.

So, you find something online that has my name on it and assume it has something to do with me? lol. Stalker. Also, this has nothing to do with me fool. NICE TRY. :) 7 billion people on the planet--sometimes people have the same name. :) You've succeeded in creeping me out, though. Thanks.

Yeah, that's pretty messed up. That's basically engaging in a pigeon hunt. Idiotic. Duck hunting is one thing, if you hunt only the number of ducks you can eat, clean them, and actually eat the meat (as opposed to what most duck hunters I've personally known have done, which was to cook 2 of them then throw the rest away when it got freezer burned because they couldn't figure out how to cook them to make them taste as good as chicken), that's hunting. But doves? No one can give me this "dove is good eating" stuff. They're basically pigeons. You're not going to make a giant pot of dove stew and eat it for 2 months.

Basically, these are usually sanctioned pest control for farms. If you get some sort of enjoyment from pest control, you might be a screwball. Anyone who thinks "but we should have fun doing it!", that's rationalization. You're covering up something seriously screwed up in your brainpan with a notion that you are in control of it and that you are making yourself have fun. If you don't like doing dishes, THAT is the feeling that normal people have when they do chores. Not "gee whiz, killing birds is fun!".

Anyone who's a hunter on this board and doesn't have a screw loose should think that Audie's got a screw loose. And improved agility isn't going to make the guy all that much faster. Also, people are only interested in the guy purely because scrub backup quarterbacks threw a football into his numbers twice in the scrub half of a meaningless preseason game and he didn't drop it both times. I kinda liked the guy when he was drafted, but only if he were going to be a run stuffing inside linebacker in a 3-4. He definitely did a good job following those passes in and not dropping them, though. If only he had 4.6 speed, they could move him to tight end and figure out some way to unload Carlson without being slammed by the cap for a couple years. But he doesn't.

And the Vikings are going to draft a middle linebacker. No matter where they take one. If Audie Cole is being talked about as a contender for the middle spot, that's as big a hole as any in the defense.

Looking at the replies to this forum thread it's obvious that Cole isn't taken serious as far as trying to compete for a starting spot. No one seems to care. lol People seem to be more fascinated in his hunting techniques than his skills as a football player

Sorry to have offended you. I was not trying to, but I can tell that maybe we should just ignore commenting on each others posts.
I have suggested this to another poster but he can't help himself.
