i think munnerlin leaving was inevitable.
CP going hurts in terms of what was given up to draft him vs how many recent whiffs there have been on the O-line in the draft for this team. I also think CP was finding a groove and won't be surprised if he really shines in Oaktown as a playmaker from various positions.

Injuries have played a significant role and there's no way to forecast them...but between CP,Kalil, Shariff and TB there hasn't been a whole lot of bang for the bucks and extra picks these first rounders have cost. It's too bad, especially when couched in with the sentiment of how APs entire career, save for 2009, has predominantly been squandered in terms of playoff wins.

They really really lack for leadership on offense. :ripple: Here's hoping Bradford can plug in and stabilize that side of the ball.

Of course, the 2016 offense was pathetic, so that isn't something to really get excited over. They need help at RB for certain.
Exactly. His (presumed) departure leaves big shoes to fill.

I'm done with Spielman. How do you go from being talked about as Super Bowl Favorites to just letting all your players walk. Patterson wasn't the best receiver we ever had, but at least he was something, and he was lethal on Returns. I just don't understand the logic behind all this. I'm pissed man I really thought we had a good chance to make a run in the playoffs but with all these crappy moves I see another 8-8 year. I hope I'm wrong but god have we done some stupid stuff this off season. Let Captain go and then we are trying to replace him with a 5'8 slot corner aka Josh Robinson version 2?
Kickoff returns simply don't matter as much as they used to. The new rules make returns more rare. Patterson simply did not have enough additional skills to be worth the $$$ and the roster spot. He was essentially just a special teams player.

Based on Shurmur, Reiff, Remmers...I don't think the Vikings would take Peterson back for 3 million at this point. I think they have no interest. He isn't going to fit on this team going forward.

I don't understand what in the hell we are doing this offseason. We couldn't pay Cordarrelle 5 million? Really? Come the #### on.

We signed a 1st round BUST for 3.75 million though in Datone Jones? WTF.

We have lost a lot of talent and won't replace a majority of it.

I know that my fan allegiance is to the team, and not the players. However, we have lost three of my favorites in one offseason. It is beyond frustrating.

Dude we didn't lose "a lot of talent". We lost Munnerlyn who is replaceable, CP who was a #3/4 WR and elite KR and a washed up AP. That's it. There was no other "talent". Jones provides depth along the DL. We'll fill the holes. We aren't just going to leave spots vacant. Pump the brakes

So apparently some tweets from Chris Tomasson (Vikings sports writer), have indicated that Jared Cook is determined to get a contract here.

Anybody else sorta notice the mass exodus from Green Bay as of late? It appears as if their biggest players not named Rogers have left to seek greener  pastures.

 I would actually be surprised with Cook signing here. Simply because I heard word if he doesnt sign here, he has a visit set up in Oakland where he would have a chance to start. Here he would not. Would be nice to get him. We need another pass catching TE.

Apparently, regarding that, he's quoted as saying ''I'm focused on Minnesota. I'm here to enjoy time with a good organization.''

I say sign me up as a Cook fan and give that man a contract.
