How about another hypothetical?

Say we pass on Manziel and wait to get a guy like McCarron and he's a bust while Manziel goes on to win 3 super bowls?

It works both ways.
Or say we pass on Manziel, take McCarron and he goes on to win 3 Super Bowls. :D

If the Vikings do draft best available player instead of a QB in the first round they might be able to land a very talented Brett Smith, a Jr who declared for the draft out of Wyoming. He is pretty highly thought of and has been compared to Johnny Manziel , but a little taller. I watched him a couple of times this year and he does have some good qualities, he has been projected anywhere between the 4th and 8th QB taken somewhere between the 2nd to 4th round.

But the coach made everyone fight for their job and provided a motivating atmosphere that made the players want to play hard and work their #### off to be a part of the team.

Zimmer is going to make some young talent into solid hard hitting starters. Because a coach like Zimmer doesn't care how bad you feel for yourself or all the stupid excuses for getting arrested over and over again. Zimmer won't gaurantee you a spot in this roster if you are going to play like you just woke up hungover. Want to keep making crappy attempts at tackling and only playing when you Feel like it? That nice, theirs the door.

Time to clear out the has Neens and the wannabes and build this young D into a diabolical purple people eating machine
this is exactly where frazier fails as a coach. he starts players over how much he likes them as a person or how nice they are. he started players regardless of how terrible they are or poorly they performed. i am so elated frazier is gone, truly a terrible coach. zimmer would bring the right attitude to this team as he has shown for almost 20 years. make it happen wilfs!

He apparently has some odd hygiene issues (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/01/0 ... 33081.html)
I feel sick now. Thanks for that!

I didn't know booger-eating was your weak point! I mentioned hygiene issues!

A guy can't do anything nowadays w/o public scrutiny! Ask yourselves Vikings fans, do you REALLY want a booger eater for your QB? Maybe they're high in protein?

Going back old school there was a Washington Redskin's linebacker (#55) who was very good his name was Chris HanBOOGER.

Its natures stick-em. Just a little booger on the fingertips will give a nice tight spiral. Its the little things a QB does that makes them great.

Let's just say the eating boogers falls under the "Intangibles" category for QB's. :D

That is FAR from a guarantee. It depends in who is there and I assume Spielman still has full roster control.
