Wow, the Seahawks hype machine is in full swing, isn't it? They're talented, no doubt about it, but is that THE most talented roster in football? I'm not even sure it's the most talented roster in the NFC West.
Well, a couple of years ago it was the Eagles who were winning the Super Bowl in April. This year it's the Seahawks. Lets see what happens when the games are played.
I would like him back, but I don't think we will get in a bidding war for him.
Vikings fan since Nov. 6, 1966. Annoying Packer fans since Nov. 7, 1966

If that were true, both SF and the Ravens would have crashed and burned last year. Repeatedly.
The 49ers and Ravens are different. The Ravens have always had a good team. These two are very good defensive teams. Usually the Ravens have a hard time with the Steelers but they caught a break last year. Same with the 49ers, very good on defense.
Now Seattle on the other hand. Is just a team that is overly hyped because they acquired some new playmakers.
ESPN's Ed Werder reports the Seahawks are "closing in" on signing free agent CB Antoine Winfield.
It would mean the aggressive 'Hawks beat out the Vikings and Redskins for Winfield's services, who both have bigger needs at cornerback. Although he's going on 36, Winfield remains one of the best nickel corners in the league. Winfield would be a big upgrade on Marcus Trufant, and make for one of the league's most imposing cornerback trios with Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner. Source: Ed Werder on Twitter

I can definitely see this happening. As I posted earlier (although it was within the context of Denver Vs. MN) If Winfield has to take a pay cut, he's more likely to do so with a team that has a serious chance at a Super Bowl Run. Denver - Seattle. Either one has a better chance than the Vikings next year (at least on paper)
I've told people a million times not to exaggerate!

That cant be true! According to most of the posters here, the Seahawks are just a buncha of hype! How can Winfield not see that? Or come back to the team that cut him, , while he was working out with the team. Has he no loyalty?

Blah. This sucks. Bevell is aware of how good some of our players are, and he keeps encouraging his team to lure them on over. He's getting annoying. lol. I suppose the former Vikings players over there have something to do with it, too. This actually hurts my feelings more than losing Harvin. I actually really love Winfield, and I respect him a lot. Harvin lost that. I can't believe this. I'm confident he would have come back to the Vikings if the Seahawks would have kept their noses out of it. ---Go Niners!---

Well, that's just great.
I don't know. I can't help but wonder if the Vikings could have handled this entire issue with Winfield differently.
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports free agent CB Antoine Winfield is deciding between the Seahawks and Vikings, and that the situation is "very fluid."
Rapoport expects Winfield to decide "soon." ESPN's Ed Werder reported earlier Wednesday that the Seahawks were "closing in" on Winfield, so they're likely the favorite for Winfield's services. The "very fluid" designation could just be an attempt on Winfield's part to wring a few extra dimes out of Seattle. Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter Apr 10 - 7:40 PM

CRAP... CRAP CRAP CRAP.
The Devil whispered in the Viking's ear, "There's a storm coming." The Viking replied, "I am the storm." #SKOL2018

Exactly!! If we resign Winfield to the contract he wanted, we will be overpaying him because he is only a nickel corner now. I mean we all love Winfield but this is a business.
I for one am happy the Vikings are no longer letting veteran players bully them into getting big pay checks
