Any updates on AP?
Re: Training Camp Master Thread
He injured his thigh. I haven't seen any details about the injury but he's expected to be fine. It doesn't sound very serious:halfgiz wrote:Any updates on AP?

Lol, I've been saying this since mid-last year when my film review revealed captain as a MAJOR liability.. both in coverage and the run.dead_poet wrote:
I really hope Zimmer can get Waynes on track fairly early so we can have newman, waynes, rhodes out there.. I feel as though Waynes will learn best under fire. Just keep Harrison behind him and put blanton over Xavier- we'll be fine...
We only need one more piece to emerge in our secondary to become elite... either Waynes, Exum, Harris, or Blanton need to STEP UP

Re: Training Camp Master Thread
The defense is putting on quite a show for Coach Zimmer today (5 picks): Training Camp Thread

Re: Training Camp Master Thread
World's greatest slot midget didn't get to see the field? Awww, so cute. Guy never should have been signed in the first place. Combined with Zimmer's comment about not seeing any 5'9 corners coming in here? Maybe they could get a late round pick for him?@christomasson Captain Munnerlyn said he thought he would play vs steelers wasn't sure why he didn't

Re: Training Camp Master Thread
Nice to hear.
Three straight deep balls by Bridgewater on the money, about 50 yard throws. 2 completed, Diggs couldn't complete catch on 3rd one

@Andrew_Krammer Adrian Peterson (thigh) is sitting out this AM's practice. #Vikings have afternoon walkthrough before departing Mankato today.
@mattvensel #Vikings not practicing this morning: Peterson, Lutman, Bostick, Crichton, Stephen and J. Robinson. Yankey is back at practice today.
@Andrew_Krammer #Vikings a little rusty this AM, so Zimmer orders a lap around the goal post for all 90.
@markcraignfl Zimmer stops practice after a sloppy play and makes the entire team run down and around goal post and back. Crowd cheers.
@ArifHasanNFL Outside of the top six receivers, still think Davaris Daniels looks the best. Seems like that so far today, too.
@ArifHasanNFL Vikings second team D still has transition problems. Whalen catch in seam between Waynes and Exum looks to be Exum's fault.
@ArifHasanNFL Diggs beats Waynes on an in-breaking route. Bad pass, but Diggs still corrals it.
@ArifHasanNFL Either Kaddu or Rayford don't buzz to flats in time for Leslie reception. Waynes cleans it up.
@ArifHasanNFL Yankey is getting reps at right tackle
@ArifHasanNFL Teddy deep to Wallace looks impressive, even though it was just Van Dyke in coverage. Still accurate.
@ArifHasanNFL Harrison Smith interception of Teddy to Thielen on out route. Very aggressive cut underneath route by Smith
@AjKFAN Yikes, Blanton just bit BIG TIME on a Kaftka pump fake and Zimmer yanked him off the field. Exam now in there with the 1s. #Vikings
@ArifHasanNFL Leslie breaks open deep in play action. Falls incomplete as Heinicke overthrows him

Re: Training Camp Master Thread
Eek.

@ArifHasanNFL Zimmer is pissed.
@ArifHasanNFL Zimmer starts by thanking MSU-M. Then says "it was a terrible practice, not up to my standards. Everyone is going to get up to my standards"
@christomasson Zimmer calls it a terrible practice today he is mad
@mattvensel Mike Zimmer, who made his players run today due to a lack of focus, said it was a "terrible practice." What didn't he like? "Everything."
@christomasson Zimmer says good teams don't relax the last day of training camp this is as mad as I have ever seen Zimmer
@ArifHasanNFL Every answer is curt. He's super pissed.
@christomasson Zimmer says the only good thing about practice today is team is going home had had a team meeting after practice
@APkrawczynski Zimmer is furious. Ended practice early. "That's not what good teams do."
@smartfootball How many NFL coaches make their players run gasers because of a bad practice? Pretty interesting
@ArifHasanNFL Even when asked something neutral, "What do you like about MSU-M" he goes off on the team. "Mankato's great. We didn't deserve to be here."
-- NICEDo you lean on your veterans when you don't like practice habits, Zim? "I lean on my size 10"

LOL! It sounds like the team may be in for some rough practices in the near future.
