When Joe Webb was backing up Christian Ponder, there was no quarterback controversy, you can be sure of that. Between bad and worse, bad was clearly the choice.
Didn't Webb do okay last night? I'm hoping to catch that game on sometime to see him play a little. He's so easy to root for.

BTW, the QB battle isn't over yet buddy.
So far there hasn't been a battle, and I'm not sure there ever was one. That could change but it would have to be a might dramatic change that happens next Saturday.

Um, yes there has been a battle, despite how one sided you think it is, there has definitely been a competition throughout camp. Do you realize that your personal opinion does not translate to the coaches opinion?

Who said it does?
But who took the majority of first team snaps during this supposed battle, and who decides that?
And I think it's a bit silly to say there never was a competition, but I agree that it's going to take a lot for Bridgewater to steal the spot from Cassel now.

Did Matt Flynn starting the first preseason game and taking the majority of the snaps over Wilson mean that he wasn't in a QB battle at the time?
Ok you're right. There is a battle and Teddy is losing.

Agreed, glad you got over your silly "There is no battle." and "Cassel already won because he started the first preseason game." delusions.

He does do the radio broadcast and television broadcast at the same time, and he's naturally a radio guy, so you can't really blame him. I do agree that he is annoying to listen to on TV though.
Coming from somebody who lives in Missouri and had to follow the Vikings by radio for a few years, PA didn't bother me at all. It was kinda nostalgic. It took me back a few years, but since I got video with it too, it was the best of both worlds.
Thielen - He's a lock to make the team at this point.
Patterson - He wasn't open on either of those throws from Cassel, and the second one wasn't even a good throw. He's really learning to use his body to make catches in blanket coverage, which isn't an easy thing to do. Obviously we all know he's ridiculous in the open field, but he's really starting to look like an excellent receiver outside of that.
Hodges - had the FG block and made a splash play in the backfield.
Munnerlyn - The receiver had no chance on that first play. He was a huge signing for us.
Coleman - He definitely helped himself out today making a few nice tackles. There are quite a few people fighting for corner and safety spots.
Shamar Stephen - Had a nice stuff and a quite a few tackles.
I need to watch it again, but these were the players I noticed the first time through.
