I'm a fan just like the rest of you, but there is absolutely no reason why something couldn't have been done in conjunction with the gophers, and now the Wilf's want the state to come up with 400 M dollars it dosn't have?

I'm not going to pretend that the politicians here are good people, but let's not pretend that there isn't a fair amount of greed here on Wilf's part as well.

Why should he pay for all of the thousands of jobs it will create and tax revenue that the vikings will create for the state and the cities? It's not just about Wilf gaining money. The state will have a good investment in this thing too. That's why they need to work together and get a fair deal done for both sides.

If I understand correctly, the politicians are trying to drga an extra 100 million plus out from the ownership? If this is the case, maybe the NFL can meet them halway and chip in some more $$$. I CANNOT believe we can lose the Vikes after being so close.

Because the Gophers wanted nothing to do with an NFL sized stadium and they wanted a stadium "on Campus". It was proposed back then but the "Gophers" shot it down.

What a tool... he wants it to pass but he won't vote for it. Talk about a politician attempting to have his cake and eat it too.

I wish I lived in MN in this guy's district so I could tell him "I won't vote for you, I'm casting my vote for your opponent when you are up for re-election, but I hope you win."
