No need to hold back now. Time to contact those legislators. Monday's vote is crucial. It's time to rally and get your voice heard.

I wonder if the Repubs holding this up now really think they wont get elected next year based on thier vote for a new stadium. Do they think the people that voted for them before will vote Dem next time? Do they want to go down as the idiots that didnt keep the vikings here and they ened up losing their job? Or dont they think at all this effing close to their vacation time and want to get to their lake house? Politics make me want to hurl.

Dayton predicts stadium bill will pass 68-65 in House, 34-33 in Senate.

Kind of counting the chickens before they hatch. But hopefully he knows something. That's a pretty narrow margin.

@PatKessler: Zellers: "The fate of the stadium is now in the governor's hands." Says its up to Dayton to find enough votes to pass.

Pat Kessler WCCO on Twitter
So Zellers is what passes for a "leader" these days... What a sad state of affairs.

There was a public referendum on these sorts of issues. It's called an election. The public elected people who said they wanted to lead, and leaders need to make sometimes tough choices and take hard positions on things that the general public might not understand or fully appreciate. The bottom line is that government has always and will always (and in fact must always) dole out public monies that don't necessarily benefit everyone who pays in. That's just the reality of managing a large enterprise like a state. Zellers must know this, and the fact he's publicly absconding his responsibility to get on the horse he said he wanted to ride is a shame. I hope whoever voted this guy in votes him out regardless of his stance on the stadium or the bill. This has been on the table in one form or another for almost a decade now. Take a stand. Lead or get out of the way. I love how he shifts the responsibility to Dayton and his minority party.

Well I am a student at Iowa, and from South Dakota, not to mention it is finals week, so there is not too much action I can undertake. I just hope that the people of MInnesota realize what is at stake and support a stadium. I realize it is easy for me as an out-of-stater to sit here and say the people of Minnesota need to support a stadium. However, if I was a resident, I would for sure be behind the stadium effort 100%.

Whats with you always backing Dayton? All he had to do was sign the tax relief bill, which he SAID he would, and then backed out of it. EVERY politian in this state care about themselves, thats it. Dayton isnt a saint dude.

Because he's the only person trying to get this thing done. And going out of his way to do it.
