It's probably because teams realize he won't be any good.
Maybe. But seems like you gotta keep swinging for that 'franchise QB' until you have one. And at this point in the draft I feel like there's as much potential as anybody else we'd take.
If Malik Willis can read an audible, I want him.

We tried this before.
Which is why we are now stuck with Cousins.
Don't restart the process now...please.

I don’t remember us ever swinging for anyone when we had a starter in place. Not during the Spielman era that’s for sure.

Come on now. Cousins wasn't a high potential 'developmental' QB. Not the same scenario at all. I'm not saying Willis will even amount to anything. He may not, I have no idea. But I wouldn't mind taking the swing.

Lewis Cine (Georgia)
Measurements:
Height: 6-foot-2 | Weight: 199 pounds
2021 Stats:
73 tackles
1 interception
9 passes defended
2 tackles for loss
There was plenty of intrigue surrounding Lewis Cine heading into the 2021 season. The safety was moving up to a key role for Georgia and to say he coped well with additional responsibilities would be the biggest of understatements.
Cine made his presence felt from start to finish as the Bulldogs’ defense as they conquered almost all-comers en route to a convincing national championship triumph. The talented prospect has backed this up with a solid evaluation process, which could see him enter first-round consideration when it’s all said and done.
It’s hard not to love the way Cine goes about his business on the field. He communicates well from the backend, is ruthlessly aggressive on all fronts, and boasts elite speed that assists both in coverage and against the run.
Providing Cine can improve his positioning on occasions and cut down on the missed tackles, then this is a player with Day 1 starting potential. No team can ever have enough individuals like Cine – those that give everything to the cause and inspire others around them.
The Minnesota Vikings have enjoyed this with Harrison Smith over the years. Pairing him with Cine is a tempting proposition depending on how the board plays out.

I was referring more to Bridgewater and Ponder. "Swings". That resulted in Cousins.

Well, I am not disappointed by that pick.
Want to see what 34 looks like.

Cine looks good in his highlights and Vikings needed a safety but it is disappointing that Vikings passed on Hamilton but I hope it will work out
