Transcript from Zimmer today:

Edit: Does anyone know what injury Barr is dealing with?
The other week Zimmer said he didn't think Barr was injured now he is saying he is injured.

The most Zimmer has said is he's "not concerned." He said the first injury report isn't due until September. My guess is lower body injury but who knows. Zimmer won't reveal anything so I guess there's no reason to speculate. Just hope for the best that he's ready to go by training camp.

Yeah, it's pretty freaky. As the article said, being only 20 until October of last year means he still has quite a bit of physical development before peaking, athletically. Scary thought (well, for opposing QBs, that is). Cool to see that one of the thing the offensive linemen are noticing are his quick burst, which was an area he struggled with coming out of college.

I'm really impressed by how young Hunter is...and where he is at right now. It would seem he has a lot of potential ahead of him.
I'm also getting pretty excited about the team Zimmer & Rick are putting together.

Thanks for your thoughts on Barr DP.

Teddy has looked pretty confident in all of these highlight videos. But I have a few issues with that:

1) It's still only OTAs, no helmets and shorts. Not live speed. So how much stock can we really put in it?
2) Tarv always looked good during off season workouts then would flop in live action.
3) Will the o-line actually be improved enough to keep him clean long enough to get good passes off?

Hopefully all of these thoughts are for nothing. And if he plays the way he has been in shorts once the seasons starts I could see this team doing some real damage.

Zimmer throwing some love Pattersons way.

This is the best I’ve ever seen him since he’s been here,” Zimmer exclaimed. “He’s running good routes, he’s catching the ball good, he’s really been motivated to do well this spring.”

Nervously excited. Zimmer doesn't blow smoke, ESPECIALLY when it comes to Patterson.
Zim on Cordarrelle: "This is the best I've ever seen him, he's running good routes, he's catching the ball good, I've been very impressed."
How will he look when the pads go on and the DBs get their hands on him? That's the real test and a previous weakness.

Wednesday’s Top Plays
Day nine of organized team activities once again included a pair of picks from the Vikings defense.

Starting out, linebacker Emmanuel Lamur seemed to come out of nowhere to intercept a Teddy Bridgewater pass at the goal line intended for tight end Kyle Rudolph.

Cornerback Terence Newman later proved he hasn’t missed a step, stepping in front of wide receiver Stefon Diggs for a pick.

Here are a few other notable plays from Wednesday:
- Safety Antone Exum, Jr. executed tight coverage and broke up a deep ball by Shaun Hill intended for wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson.

- Hill and tight end MyCole Pruitt formed an effective tandem when Hill threw a smooth 25-yarder to Pruitt for a touchdown.

- Rookie wide receiver Laquon Treadwell made a nice grab on an inside route.

- Defensive end Everson Griffen stood out, breaking through the line for two would-be sacks on quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.

- Rookie running back Jhurell Pressley caught a crisp sideline pass by quarterback Taylor Heinicke.

- Cornerback Xavier Rhodes was well-positioned in run support, greeting Adrian Peterson with a smile at the line of scrimmage.

Highly unlikely. Teams aren't going to trade for a guy simply because a coach is talking him up. They go on film and he doesn't have a lot of great film recently. Plus, Zimmer doesn't seem like a guy to play those games.

Enjoyed those highlights, even if the music was a bit overly dramatic for OTAs!
