Yikes, we could have 7 more points, time to bring different options into camp.

Diggs needs more time with Teddy on the first team. Put CP on the bench, Diggs has earned a spot imo.

I think if they bring in a kicker, that guy will do kickoffs too. They should bring someone in for the last two preseason games anyway. I wonder who is available???PurpleKoolaid wrote:Unbelievable, really. How does that happen to a grown man. From star to being incapable of doing one job. The Devil whispered in the Viking's ear, "There's a storm coming." The Viking replied, "I am the storm." #SKOL2018

Disappointing game, but we still won, and I think we got out with no serious injuries.

Not gonna happen. This is BW's job, for better or worse. He was a Spielman pick and it's his job until some catastrophic F-up.PurpleMustReign wrote: I think if they bring in a kicker, that guy will do kickoffs too. I am not too worried. I think when it counts he will come through.......I hope I am right

There is no way Blair recovers from this. Book it. Confidence is key.

LOL, they won't even let us see Walsh kick now.

It should be 30-12 right now. Wow. Walsh has really screwed his team.

Few things-
Incredible throw and catch by CJ and TB.
Incredibly frustrating/alarming drop by Wallace.. Both hands bro
Incredibly concerned about Blair, I am.
Kendricks is going to be an incredibly solid player for us.
I'm sad/mad that I saw exactly none of Diggs in the pass game.. its like- Wtf?
Waynes is in my opinion right where he should be right now. He's flashed with some gritty, impressive plays here and there. He occasionally makes some plays, where it makes you think 'wow, this kid has elite potential and talent'. It's rare that you see an extremely effective rookie CB in this league. He definitely still needs a lot of work. Yet, he has shown me nothing to fear that he is incapable of correcting these issues. And I have little doubt that after a year of being thrown into the fire, and having Zim actively coach him up, this kid will eventually be a very solid player for us. Think Rashean Mathis/Al Harris/Asante Samuel
I liked what I saw from our starting O-line. Specifically in pass coverage. I really was not impressed with their efforts in establishing the run tonight though. Matt Kalil did a decent job overall this evening, as did our entire right side.
Would very much have liked to see more Rudolph at this point in the preseason. He is undoubtedly a matchup advantage for us, at the least. So whatever the reason is, I would like to see 3-5 targets his way next week.
Continue to like what I have seen from our starting D. My only area of concern, is at safety next to Harrison. I really don't believe Blanton can consistently (or even occasionally) make game-changing plays for us. I also have reservations about outside CB opposite Xavier. I mean realistically we have 4 guys in the mix for either that position or the slot guy. Waynes, Newman, Captain, and Jabari. Often in this league, we will be asking two of these guys to be on the field for us at any given time. You couple this with having a guy like Blanton out there? I can easily see this combination of 2-3 guys on the field, in most situations, leading to big plays for opposing teams. Outside of Waynes, and in a delusional sort of way- Jabari, I really don't have any hope or enthusiasm that any of the 3 other guys will develop into solid, quality players for our team.
That is all

Re: Preseason Week 3 - Minnesota Vikings vs. Oakland Raiders
I'm concerned about Clemmings. You can see why the coaches are excited about him, the potential is there but he has so much work to do. Teddy took a big shot tonight on what was a completely baffling blocking assignment. He's also below average in run blocking right now.
Not even entertaining bringing in competition.... I don't get it.
Blair sucked tonight but let's hope there were mini tornadoes or something on the field. I'm honestly more concerned about the OL.
I'm also trying to keep telling myself Wallace is nonexistent because it's preseason and not because he's Berrian 2.0.
