One thing I honestly can't get, all prior hate aside.

From 6 passes we can all agree Ponder is not good, like 0 hope. How did he get drafted so high? I just don't get it , what was ever seen?

That short drag route should be designed with a pump fake in mind to draw those middle defenders with it while the real target drops in behind those defenders. Problem with Ponder is, he just sees one receiver on any given play. The dude has no ability to read multiple options.

But can't Ponder adjust to what the WR is doing? Even if Wright ran it too far inside, if Ponder thinks he's open he's got to go to where the receiver is, not to where he should have gone.
