Zylstra just cant break through. Keeping 4 WRs and 4 TEs and 5 RBs tells you all you need to know about this offense. I'm not mad.

We can get draft capital for Sloter. Indianapolis could desperately use a QB now that Luck has retired.
Chances are, they dont and he's just released. Secondly, they wasted draft capital with Vedvik, so I feel like the reactions are substantiated.
I agree. BTW, Sloter was released. I wonder if another team will claim him off the waiver wire.

I don’t care what all you Zimmer apologists say, Sloter didn’t get a shot because of his bravado and belief in himself. Rubbed Zimmer the wrong way. I hope he gets a chance in the league and believe he will succeed if that door opens.

And what will your defense be if it turns out Sloter wasn't nearly as good as he looked against the 3's and 4's?

It wasn't the bravado or confidence that got him waived. It was the fact he wasn't a good player in Practice or made a lot of mental mistakes when not playing the game. Imagine if he went up against the Bears #1 Defense. Do you really have such confidence in the guy to keep calm under those circumstances when he's never sniffed the starting players or even the #2s?

People can piss and moan the decision to cut him all they want, and don't get me wrong, I don't agree with it. I would prefer to keep him around another year or two to let him develop more. But it's not the end of the world. It is never the end of the world.

I’ll be surprised if it stays this way into the season. I think they’re either looking for another WR but aren’t happy with what they have or they activate Zylstra and cut a corner once Hughes is ready.

Idk why everyone was so high on Boyd. He looked slow and weak in the preseason.
Looks like Boyd is making the team.
We are a little thin at CB. They are looking for any scrub that's available. The same will hold true for WR. And what I saw in Rhodes movement I'm not convinced he's back to his whatever year form when he was a great player.

Yep.

Sloter is gone because he wasn't good enough. No hidden agenda.

He had talent, but didn't have the experience to play professional QB at a passable level. He more than likely never will.

Lotta butthurt over a quarterback who has never taken a snap in an NFL regular season game.

I kinda liked him, too. But for crying out loud, you'd think we cut Adam Thielen.

Step away from the ledge, pessimists. Somehow we'll make it without Kyle Sloter.

Go ahead. I dare you.

He didn't show any improvement. Can't even challenge for the backup spot at this point. Speilman tried and it didn't work out. If there were interested teams we could have gotten a 7th rounder for him. I'm sure they tried. We might bring him back if our CB situation gets straight.

They replaced Simian with the exact same type in Mannion. How you can’t see that or even bother to question why they never gave him any snaps with the 2’s is beyond me. It was never an open competition and coaches hate being proved wrong.

Just how many trades went down today for players that were about to be cut today? Such a stupid take.

As opposed to the super intelligent "Sloter will be the face of the franchise" take that you made above.
The Devil whispered in the Viking's ear, "There's a storm coming." The Viking replied, "I am the storm." ‪#‎SKOL2018

I made no such post. Coaches all the time fail to play guys that don’t fit their mold.

So show me the post I made that assertion.

10 OL (11 if you count the LS)
4 RB + 1 FB
4 TEs
4 WRs

The Vikings are all in on the Outside Zone Scheme. If it fails, there is no plan B.
