I'd be frightened to see Barr in another jersey.

I understand what you're saying but I dont know how much of a "pass rush threat" Barr really is. Kendricks has 7.5 sacks in 3 years as a MLB. Barr has 10.5 in 4 years as an outside LB that is suppose to be more of a "pass rusher. I also think Kendricks is much better in coverage than Barr. I mean both players are good players. But I just prefer Kendricks and his overall consistency over Barr.
It looks like we agree on priority for the other four and Kendricks is now off the list entirely.

Thanks for those sack numbers. I hadn't checked, but it does place Kendricks in a better light in comparison to Barr. It looks like Barr is at or near the bottom of several posters' lists although, I would certainly like to keep them all.

Do you have a link for that? I haven't been able to find anything. Thanks.

Thanks.

I'm guessing that the "first year" will be 2018 and the new five year contract will replace his current contract (i.e. not be a simple extension). If those number are correct it would translate into an annual hit of $2.1M prorated signing bonus plus base salaries of:
2018: $4.5M ($6.6M cap)
2019: $7.5M ($9.6M cap)
2020: $9M ($11.1M cap)
2021: $9M ($11.1M cap)
2022: $9.5M ($11.6M cap)

That 2018 number would eat up another $5.5M of our remaining cap space. We may need a Barr extension next to free up space to cover the other extensions.
