Leading up to the draft, I wasn't sure if the Vikings would pick up Kalil's option. After drafting three lineman, I was sure they were preparing to move on. I think just based on his contract hit they must be pretty sure they can rely on him, but something still seems screwy with this whole situation.dead_poet wrote:

Maybe they just thought each of those tackles were BPA by a long shot when they were picking?
I'm honestly not convinced the injuries made such a huge impact, although losing Fusco hurt. I didn't think Loadholt was playing all that well before he went down. The line looked pretty lousy against NE when they were healthy and they didn't look too great against NO either. Honestly, I've felt they were an overrated unit for years, especially in pass protection, where they've been sub-standard for a long, long time now (at least in my estimation).The Breeze wrote:Assuming that the guys they just drafted prove capabale, it will be a situation of quality depth along the line.
