I'm concerned about the Vikings getting behind early and having to play catch up against the Detroit D.
I agree, that would be no bueno.

Man oh man we are just getting murdered by injuries this year. First it was our offense and now it's our defense. Good thing is, we're still somehow winning games

This game is winnable but the o-line needs to really step up (allowed 8 sacks) the Vikes need to average more than 5ypc. with 3 ints. and a 41 QB rating. With TB playing much improved and hopefully the line (especially Kalil) will be play better than the last time.
The flip side is that the Lions did not have Megatron last game and I doubt that their kicker will miss 2 makeable fgs..
This would be a huge win if they can pull it off with all the injuries but somehow I have a feeling that they will.

You had to get that shot in there didn't you

I'm with you on this one, I feel good about this game for some reason. I say 24-21 Vikes

Man quit being so dam sensitive. I want TB to succeed as much as anyone (except you) I am just not as sold on him as some are. I will be anxious to see his expected improvement from their last meeting and hoping that the 0-line really steps up

We could really get blown out by the first half. I expect at least a 21 point loss tmw. We certainly have had a ton of injuries this year haven't we.

Nice write up again, Frosted.

I love my Vikes, but I am not expecting us to take out the Lions this week. It would be great if we hit one of those any given Sunday scenarios or another of the annual Lions late season nosedives.

5 ypc?

The Lions the last 2 games held their opponents to 1.5 ypc and kept them under 35 total yards on the ground. They have the best run defense in the league by far, and through 13 games so far they have the 5th best run D of all time. I doubt the Vikings will average 3.0 ypc let alone 5... Bridgewater will have to take over the game and win it by himself, with pretty much no OL to speak of. Good luck.

No need for the shot at the end. I really don't see where any one said the team will average five yards a carry.

The Lions are a better team than Minnesota this year. I respect their defense - it is really good. Offensively, they can compete with any team in the league. Calvin Johnson is great and Golden Tate has flourished with a quarterback that trusts him. It will be a tough match up. Still, it is not like Minnesota is completely out of it. NFC North games usually are not blow outs.

Lions do not win this game, they will be the same old Lions we have always seen. Can't get out of their own way. Unless Stafford stays out all night drinking, gets arrested for omvi, is about the only way they lose. Too many factors against the Purple this week. Lions D-tremendous, have a top 3 line, a top 3 LB in Levy. Megatron is starting to amp it up and Stafford has been good. Add Joique Bell having a nice couple of weeks and there would have to be a major meltdown for the Vikings to win. Hey, I'm all for it, don't get me wrong but the glass is not half full this week.

Dude first of all, I was trying to joke around with you and second, all you do is repeat yourself by saying you support him but you take shots at him all the time. You either like the guy or you don't. I personally don't care what you think of him but be straight up with you. You're doing nothing but contradicting yourself

Yeah right, you were just Joking around with me   No sarcasm there
Most of this last statement is a contradiction. You claim that you do not care what I think of TB but every time I say something negative about him you are immediately posting about what ever I say. Figure that out. :? Here is a great solution. I will not respond to your "I love Teddy, he is the greatest young QB that there has ever been attitude and you do not respond to my posts when I objectively post some of his flaws and shortcomings that I perceive.

This could be your year, they certainly have more than enough talent on both sides of the ball.
I do not believe that the past is any indication of the present or future but if it is, you are in deep trouble. The Lions are only 1 of 4 teams to never have reached the Super Bowl and the only NFC team to not have made it.
I will be pulling for them right after the Vike's game mainly because I hate the Packers.
Good luck :)

Hopefully I'm wrong.

If it does go to OT, I would be pleasantly surprised. I wish I felt like we would win, but I just don't seeing us keeping this one within 10 points.
