Well, he also got Peterson instead of Quinn, as the OP wanted...so that cancels the Moss thing out, and then some. Just sayin'...HardcoreVikesFan wrote:

Re: Your Worst Move As Vikings GM
here's a couple:
- would've taken Darrelle Revis instead of Adrian Peterson. Not a terrible move but just can't imagine this team without Peterson and no chance we would've kept revis after rookie deal.
- Likely would've taken way to many failed Mobile QB's on personal bias
- Much better at this now, but in the past I've been an Al Davis type in my evaluations, getting over hyped on combine numbers mainly 40 yard dash. To be fair though i never really watched tape like i do now, just watched highlight tape and looked at stats and combine numbers.

Extend L. Fraziers contract another 3 years and then fire myself for a job with Jax or oakland.
Re: Your Worst Move As Vikings GM
Haha. This is mine too. I badly was hoping Gabbert would somehow fall to the Vikings. I live in the KC area and being from Mizzou, he was hyped way up around here.AADPFan wrote: I wouldve traded up to grab the last 1st round QB.... Blaine Gabbert....
Of course, he probably wouldn't have been any worse than he who shall not be named.
Re: Your Worst Move As Vikings GM
I've pretty much got everyone beat because I badly wanted the Vikings to draft WR Troy Williamson in R1.
And when the Vikings did it, I was convinced that Williamson was going to be a stud.

I would have drafted Justin Blackmon.

I also wanted to trade Jarred Allen after his career season.
Re: Your Worst Move As Vikings GM
I admit I would've moved on from Sullivan. I didn't see how much he was improving after a couple of rough seasons.

Re: Your Worst Move As Vikings GM
I would've trade Peterson after his phenomenal MVP season for draft picks. Hell I'd still do it now.

Re: Your Worst Move As Vikings GM
I wanted Gabbert.
Re: Your Worst Move As Vikings GM
Great thread idea!
I remember really wanting the Vikes to draft Jimmy Kennedy back in 2003. They drafted Kevin Williams, which turned out to be a far better move. Instead of a potential Hall of Famer, I would have landed them a first round bust in Kennedy.

Re: Your Worst Move As Vikings GM
I would have traded up to get Matt Lienart instead of taking Greenway back in what? 2006?
But, as redemption, I would have drafted Warren Sapp instead of Derrick Alexander. I threw a full can of beer across the room when they made that choice. I was in college too, so I really couldn't afford to waste beer!!

I thought Erasmus James was the Way, The Truth and The Life and thought he was going to be a Randle or Doleman caliber threat for us for a decade. I openly mocked Packers fans for drafting Rodgers who I said was going to be an embarrassing flop.
