Link please?
Remember how he lit it up there last season? He put on a clinic. A clinic I tell ya.
Ponder starting games is a joke. He shouldn't even be allowed to watch 'em.
He'll go 11/27 140 1/1 get sacked 5 times and fumble it once but "recover it and show a lot of heart.
He just has to work on some things, tighten some things up. Ponder is a good QB,
he just has to execute the game plan a bit better."
I think I figured out why they keep starting Ponder. It's an unusual stat that just does not seem to make sense based on how bad he has played. With Ponder playing, the team scores an average of 25.6 points per game. Not saying he is responsible for all those points as well. Don't sound like much, until you realize that only 7 teams are averaging more points per game. Granted, he is also responsible for the other team scoring as well with his Int's and fumbles. But that is the one thing I can see the coach looking at. Maybe the coach is hoping that he quits making stupid mistakes. Not trying to pump up Ponder here, just trying to figure out why they would keep starting him. This could be one of the reasons.
NFL average scoring is 23.3 points per game.
