And he's still better than all 3 Qbs on this roster.

So doubtful. :)

Seriously, did everybody forget 2010? You know, that 11 TD, 19 INT season where the immobile old QB spent half the time lying on his back or grimacing in pain after taking hit after hit? When he wasn't grimacing in pain he was wincing at yet another bad decision. Favre was awful that year.

Curse you for starting this thread, dead-poet!

Good idea! Maybe we can get Joey Browner to come out of retirement as well. And yeah, Paul Krause, I heard he runs 3 miles day. What the hell, he can't be any worse then what they are putting on the field now. :D

I agree..Favre looked just like every QB that's played behind our O-lines since Tice left.
2009 took perhaps the greatest season ever of one the leagues all-time cagiest QBs just to get them into the NFCCgame. And even then he was up til midnight worried about whether the O-line could hold up while the back up QB had to pop ambien to sleep over the same concerns.

And then Saints popped him on the first play, and throughout the whole game. He got his azz beat that game.
I think he threw a pick too.
It seems so long ago.

An inside source has told me Cullen Loeffler, Jeff Locke, and George Johnson are headed south on the Wilf's private Segway.

Terrible down year, still dealing with injuries from previous season. QB Rating 70. Higher than Ponder this year, or Cassel last year.
Tahi at FB. Harvin/Berrian as starting receivers. Shank Dawg at tight end. McKinnie at left tackle. Almost retired beat up Hutch the best offensive linemen. People wanted Sullivan cut.

Cassel last year, combined with Ponder this year...and heck we'll give Ponder two games to end last year. 3-10 record over last 13.
Favre 5-8 in 2010. With a QB rating equal or higher than Cassell/Ponder in their last 13.

He was a better QB in 2010 than what we have now...and that was with less talent than Ponder has. And Childress as head coach.

So is it really "so doubtful"?

Ha, ha! Me too. I'm 54 and bicycle a lot. I do a lot of other workouts too and play full-court basketball with high school kids during the winter and more than hold my own. I'm in much better shape than I was in my 20s. Favre is still a kid.

Favre would still be better than a lot of QBs in the league. Certainly better than what the Vikings have now. But he would take a pounding with the way the O-Line has been playing and I wouldn't want the media circus it would surely bring.

The vikings oline that year was beyond the word awful. they couldnt block more then even a nano second. the oline wasnt even good in 2009 Favre made them look good. Also he admited he probably wouldnt come back if he knew syndey rice was going to be out for half the season. I feel bad for Favre he got knocked out on the last snap of his career and lost unfairly to the Saints who cheated there way to the Superbowl. To bad the Media would storm on this if he was really considering a return, no coach or team wants that

For the love of man, make it stop!

And besides, the o-line this year hasn't shown its any better than the 2010 lineup.
