That's almost as much as Greg Jennings at 3.4. Aromashodu and Jennings are close in value? No way. And I don't care that Jennings was hurt. It's still no contest.

LOL! They include the following disclaimer...
Sorting players by position and ranking won’t necessarily get you the same order we’ve used in some of our articles. That’s because we’ve done more to put the numbers into context. The grades require intelligence applied to them.
... but when you read that and then look at the list, you realize the rankings are pretty useless without the additional context.

The Jet’s defense rises and falls with the health of Revis. That says something about a player being a game changer, which Revis truly is. However, Revis makes his bacon playing man coverage. Assuming the Vikings made a move for him, would they let him play to his strengths? Also, Revis seems to miss every other season with some sort of injury. In that respect I think he’ll be like Sidney Rice. If the Vikings are hypothetically interested, would they get outbid by a team willing to overpay?

Then again, having Cook and Revis on the field is a tantalizing idea. Theoretically you’d have two top CB playing together which would greatly open up the freedom of the Safeties to make plays. It would also open up some of the defensive playcalling, but to what extent, I’m not sure. We do not have a really talented blitzing LB.

Not sold on the Revis deal. His talent is undeniable, but I’m not sure how well he’d fit into our unit.

Interesting to see Danny Woodhead as the best RB ranking

From his rookie year until 2012 (80 possible games) he played in 77. http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/stats/_/i ... elle-revis

Yes. They won't be involved, not for the asking price on what's essentially a one-year contract.

He'd fit great. I'm sure the coordinators would ensure they're getting the best out of him. But this doesn't feel like something the Vikings would do, especially given the price.

Cut Carlson and go after Bennett or Delanie Walker. C'mon Vikings

Not to mention the fact that Revis is coming off ACL surgery...

I would not do Harvin for Revis because Harvin is worth WAY more to the team than that, but I would do a 1st for him... think about it. If you could draft Revis right now with the 27th pick (or whatever we have), would you? I sure as hell would.

I love watching Darelle play. However, he is going to cost too much and he doesn't fit the Tampa 2. If we did acquire him, we could alter the defense so he could play to his strengths.

In short, Darelle will not be a Minnesota Viking and I would be shocked to see him moved to another team.

Would you do it if he was coming off ACL surgery and was immediately going to cost $6 million to play on a reconstructed knee and much more than that to retain beyond 2013? That would give me pause.

I wouldn't give the Jets a first round pick for him but I'd consider it for a second round pick. They aren't in a strong bargaining position and the deal they made with San Diego for Antonio Cromartie sets a precedent for that kind of price. Perhaps a later round pick or a less-prominent-but-useful player would need to be added to sweeten the deal. I don't know...

There's no doubt that Revis, if/when he's back to 100%, would be a huge addition to the Vikings defense. I think the big question is would trading for him, taking on his salary and more importantly signing him to what would have to be a very lucrative new deal fit into their overall plan for the use of cap money, draft picks, etc. in rebuilding the team?

At age 21 without tearing his ACL? Of course.

Now? It's debatable. Probably. But it's not as cut-and-dry.

That's what I hate - every good corner "doesn't fit" in the cover-2 scheme. It's an awful scheme and guys like Rodgers, Cutler, and Stafford constantly burn us.

I wouldn't give up a 1st for him unless I know his contract demands. If he can get a deal done with the Jets and then they want to trade him he might be worth more.

I'm surprised I'm writing this, but DB doesn't seem to be a huge area of need for the Vikings right now, at least compared to WR. If the Vikes are going to go big for a FA, it almost has to be a WR unless they are convinced that can resolve that area in the draft.

Lord I think WR is where they'll make a big move in FA if they make one. For me it is because the other positions we have a of need just do not have much in terms of talent vs. cost. Of course Spielman might have his eye on a diamond the rough as he did with Felton, but who knows? The one exception is Levitre at OG, which also wouldn't be that suprpising to me.

this is not a joke, I had a dream sometime early this morning that i was in a classroom with Revis and a bunch of TV Analysts... I asked him if we would be happy to come to the vikings, he seemed all excited but then his Jets uniform turned into an Eagles uniform.... but his face didnt change... (when i first wolk up i thought that maybe i was mistaken and wasnt talking to revis but talking to rodgers-cromartie, but i recall now that he had revis' face the entire time)...
