That is my favorite "bold prediction" so far. I'll second it!

This is one of the only predictions that I could actually see happening. He didnt start off the season with a bang this year, and I think he will do that next year. I think Frazier and Musgrave know now that giving the ball to AD is the best thing to do on offense. Not to mention AD is still in his prime, so I don't think he will have a problem breaking the record within the next few years.

There are two things in his way IMO: Injury and the fact that every DC in the league is going to try to figure out how to stop him.

The upside is in the Rams game that D had ZERO respect for Ponder and AP still put up 150 on them. So you have to wonder with regards to just what else they can throw at the guy.

Interesting, it seems this thread could have also be called "VIKINGS WISH LIST" haha.

But my bold prediction is the Vikings will be the fourth 6th seed to win the bowl in the past 7 seasons. Normally I lean negative when it comes to predictions with this team, but I'm getting a different feeling this time. I can't remember the last time I've seen us go on such an unexpected roll. It somewhat reminds me of the '87 playoff run.

If (IF) the Vikings passing game can return to being only mediocre rather than non-existent, I don't see this happening. Peterson returns to his typical 1200-1500 yard seasons.

Some fans just do not understand that this is a run first team with AP. That is how you build a team around the best running back in the game. That is why, with this type of offense that the Vikes run, they do not need an explosive passing attack. They just need a QB that plays under control and does not turn the ball over and can make third down plays.

Were you a fan when Favre was playing QB? I love AD. He is, by far, the best RB I've ever seen play the game (keep in mind I'm only 21 years old and don't remember seeing Barry Sanders play). But just because he had this type of season doesn't mean he'll average 150 YPG from here on out. I think a 1200 yard season wouldn't be up to par for his standards, but keep in mind his best season was 1,760 yds before this year. Other than that, he's never had a season above 1,400 yds. During Favre's better season with the Vikes, AD ran for 1,383 yds.

Don't get me wrong here. My main point is that an awesome passing game won't necessarily equal No. 28 running over 1,500 yds for a season. Peterson's gonna get his yards regardless of who the QB is. We all know this- he's a monster!!!

Not Viking related but I think there will be a woman playing in the NFL in the next 10 years.

Here we go: If the Vikings can manage a win against the Packers, they represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.

2013- 1. Defenses learn how to stop AD. He doesn't come close to 2000 yards again.
2. Ponder becomes our Franchise QB because we get a good receiver and he beats teams with his arm as they stop AD.
3. Late in the season teams get more honest defensively because of Ponders ability to throw and Peterson starts having great games again.
4. We get a wild card spot again.
5. We win a playoff game.
