I try to stick with what worked on the play before. So the last 5 minutes of the game was me doing the little kid covering his ears "la la la la", before snaps.

Jerome Simpson passed through concussion protocol before being allowed to return. Harrison Smith's shoulder was OK.

I think my wife would have called EMS for me if the game had gone into OT.

Damn and I missed it? Whoa! Wait ... Crosby still has a job? Don't the Packers know Longwell is available?

Meh... newbies.

After four Super Bowl losses, I haven't so much as even had butterflies over the Vikings since 1977. You watch, you wait, you cheer, you jeer. When it's all said and done, every season ends the same.

I think that's exactly why everyone gets so nervous over these big games. Idk about anyone else, but when these big games are close, the thoughts always creep into the back of my head, "can they blow this?", "will they blow this?", "how are they going to blow this?", "what am I going to break if they blow this?". And not necessarily in that order haha.

My group of friends met up as we usually do on a Sunday evening (GMT time) and settled down to watch the Lions Vs Da Gay'Bears, before the Vikings. We take turns to host NFL Sunday, and this week it was the turn of one of my friends who is a Packer fan. So in his living room we had a Viking, Packer, Falcon, Eagle and a person who was new to the game and was more interested in what the score was in the darts. Such is the diverse range of the UK NFL fan.
Anyway many beers sunk, pizza eaten and the trash talk starts (all friendly of course) mainly between me and the packer, which for me is a good way of building up the game even more (usually for massive dissapointment)
As we aren't one of the big draws in the U.K, Sky Sports rarely show us on the telly. Although they see clips on my Laptop when we score and i'm dancing around like a demented ape. Yes they know of A.D and Percy etc. but at half time, all i was getting was complements! Weeks and weeks of me saying that our D-fence has sharpened up dramatically, and the O-line is getting much more competitive was always met with a "yeah yeah yeah" as if they thought it was just blind patriotism. Now i was getting "ooh Rodgers is getting no targets" and "what a block by Kalil" etc.
COMPLEMENTS?! FOR A VIKINGS TEAM?! Has the world gone mad!!
I was a quivering wreck last night, and i imagine it will be worse next week. Especially monday morning at work (late game means i won't be in bed till gone 4am)
As for myself and the Packer fan? I shook his hand, thanked him for his hospitality and walked out of his house 6 inches taller, big smile on my face.

It's going to have to finish better than 99' and 09', i'm running out of remotes to smash!
