Well of course it's a blend of quality and quantity. I think the logic is something like, Bridgewater was essentially their 2nd round pick and McKinnon was their 4th. Yankey from the Browns was their 5th. I am pretty surprised Yankey lasted as long as he did, but glad Spielman pulled the trigger on him. He isn't consistent, but he's a very good guard and I think he has the potential to be a long-term answer at one of the guard spots.S197 wrote:Craig Loston out of LSU is still available too.
Yankey was an all-american at two positions, team captain... I still can't figure it out. Maybe some had him projected at tackle but he'll play guard here and I think really give Johnson a run for his money in camp.
