Just saw that. The fact that he's under a gag order (even though when you're under a gag order you don't SAY YOU'RE UNDER A GAG ORDER, like fight club) is ominous.

Apparently cris carter says he has a inside source (I am thinking larry fitzgerald) claiming ap will definitely be traded today.

So... He has a gag order, but talks about it anyway? Why the hell would he have a gag order anyway? He doesn't hold a position with a team. It just doesn't make any sense.

Well, hope it's a good trade for us and not just one to "get him out of here".

On the other hand, could be part of a bluff to make teams involved with the trade think "oh crap a deals in place and it isn't with us? up the offer!" Under gag order but talks anyway? Kind of suspicious.

He may have given his word to a friend that he wouldn't talk about it, but like a school girl he just couldn't refrain from gossiping; juicy secret info is just too fun to divulge, I guess.

I, for one, am glad to hear this. I really hope we get a good return now.

Maybe... or maybe his bosses at ESPN just asked him to be vague and stir the pot a little and since CC has connections with the Vikings, the automatic assumption is he knows something of significance. He said he believes something will happen today, not that he knows it will, and he didn't say who put him under a "gag order" in the subject.

I'll believe there's a trade in place when it actually happens. Up until then, I'm not trusting in any rumors, especially on draft day.

Ugh. Well, sounds like he is gone :-( I want him to stay in Purple.

Remember, just two days ago, the man who actually gets to make that decision said ""We can just end the Adrian Peterson stuff," and "We have no interest in trading Adrian Peterson."

Maybe he'll be traded and maybe not but I wouldn't assume it's a done deal based on little more than a hint from CC.

It seems like when the rumors start getting stronger there is fire below the smoke. Or at least that's how I remember the Moss and Harvin trades going down.

I'll be glad when the draft is over and we can stop speculating.

I hope Rick has a trade for AD already in place. Hopefully a first, maybe a few 2nds. I dont want this drama queen on the team anymore. I can just picture him sitting out games to try and prove his point. He would have kept his agent, if he agent wasnt saying the things the AD agrees with. I want the talk to be about the new young Vikings team, not AD (for all the bad reasons).

Either way, tonight will be interesting.

If AD is traded today (big 'if') ... I think it's Tampa; their 2nd round pick (34 overall) plus another pick next year and maybe a player. Just keep going back to that picture that Ben Dogra posted with his Peterson jersey, Bucs hat and two fingers. As sleazy as Dogra might appear to be I just don't think he would do that solely for purposes of trolling the Vikings.

AD would be a great fit in Tampa. Winston (assuming they take him #1 overall) has three nice targets to throw to in Vincent Jackson, Mike Evans and that big TE with hyphened name (can't think of it right now). Put AD in their backfield and it helps Winston immensely.

‏@evansilva ESPN's John Clayton on Adrian Peterson: "Dallas is out. Jacksonville is out. Arizona is not willing to give up a No. 1 (pick)."

This is taking on a very Schrödinger's cat vibe.
