While I dont have a problem with Wilf spending his money, if he wants a 19m dollar place, good for him. But I will say, his timing is questionable, at best. IMO, one thing has little or nothing to do with the other, but common sense should tell you, until the stadium deal gets resolved, being a little tight with the big purchases would be a smart move.

I guess so ... but everyone already knows he's got enough money that he could fund the stadium by himself if he wanted. It's always been a business decision to only fund it to a certain point. Business vs. Personal. People have to separate the two. Someones business income has nothing to do with a personal purchase. To answer someone else's question. The state would own the new stadium not Wilf. So its not like they're just giving him money. If anything he's giving them money.
Also people forget Wilf is only a tennant in the Dome and yet he put out most of the money to fix it.

It really seems like Wilf has been a standup guy in regards to the whole stadium issue. He's had patience. He's stuck to his promise to try and keep the Vikings where they are. He's put money into the dome, he's put money into the team, he's put money down on the new stadium.
Them trying to paint him to be a jerk who goes out and spends all this money while he's asking Minnesota to pony up more cash ... that should bother people.

Why? That's the point. Who cares what he's buying with his own money. The Vikings franchise is a business. There shouldn't be any outcry over him buying stuff in his personal life when he's already comitted a ridiculous amount of money to a publicly-owned building...CalVike wrote:The man has a day job called real estate tycoon.
