If anyone likes RPGs (football of course) I found a site

Run into some old friends from another group or board? Want to do a little schmoozing, talk over old times? Or just some off topic stuff, then this is the place.

Just thought I'd give everyone an update on the three teams we have going from this board (that I know about):

-Iowa Assassins (owned by snellman): 12-2 (3rd place)
-Great Plains Reapers (owned by dead_poet): 11-3 (3rd place)
-New York Doom (owned by treyday): 10-2-1 (3rd place)

Those Viking boys know what they're doin'!

What leagues are those teams in? I'd like to keep up on how they are doing. I have two players right now:

Patrick Richard FS Lvl 13 San Jose Baggers-East Europe AAA2 Zeta Conference
Right now we stand at 8-5 and are jockeying for a playoff spot. This team was owned by a guy last year who was never active and the new owner has committed to rebuilding the team from the ground up. He's been doing a great job so far and we have far exceeded expectations.

Just recently promoted to starter, Patrick has 34 tackles, 3 passes defensed, a forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

Brian Mueller C Lvl 13 Lexington Lynx-USA BBB3 Eastern Conference
After a shaky start, right now we're 10-3 and our last game of the season is against a very tough team from the Western Conference that could give us momentum into the playoffs if we can pull out a victory.

We have a very good OL and Brian has 83 pancakes. We have three OL players in the top six in pancakes in our conference.

I really am having a good time with the teams I am on and am not looking to move.

This game is a blast!

We trounced a team 90-0, but the owner has it set up as a "farm" team to get his own players some EXP. He has mostly CPU players and then his guys. Next season he'll gut the team, send his guys to a pro team and sell this team. Sad.

I really don't approve of "farm" teams (and detest playing them). But it's within the rules, so there's nothing I can do about it. If someone wants to create $500 worth of players and have a team of just themselves and considers that fun, more power to them. I assume the farm team was the one you played and beat 90-0. You're not the one on the farm team, correct?

And this is really a fun game. Although there are the occasional "bugs" and whatnot, they work hard at making improvements and answering questions. They have to be making a killing on this.

Assassins and Doom are still alive and playing for their respective conference championships. Reapers lost a tough game.

One of the teams I play for just upset the top team in the conference. Now we face the team that beat us badly in week one. If we win that one, we get promoted to USA A#2 and we will end up facing one of the best two teams in the league for the league championship.

Oh no! The Great Plains Reapers are now in the same league and conference (USA AA4 West) as the first team I joined on GLB, the Lexington Lynx. We jumped up two levels last season and stayed competitive, ending 7-9 and missing the playoffs. But we think we can make the playoffs this season. This is a REALLY competitive league. The top seven teams are very strong. We fought hard just hanging with these teams, but we learned many lessons.

My C is looking forward to locking horns with Tubby and Miss Piggy and hopefully catching your LBs flat footed. ;)
