Los Angeles vikings ? Doesn't sound very good. Maybe they will change the name like Tennessee did

the negatives are huge if the vikings leave. giving up tax money is nothing. jobs will be lost if the vikings leave and business's will suffer. :smilevike:

If they move the name will be The Los Angeles Bandwagons.

Can't stand Los Angeles fans and is a big part of why I will no longer be a Viking fan if they move. (even though I live in CA)
Other than I can't be a fan of an organization that abandons such a huge fan base.
Please don't move.

Ok, I'm done with my rant, you all may continue...

and the browns. I can only pray that if they move they change the name so in a few years the vikings will be back in minnesota. just like browns situation.

The Vikings will never be back in Minnesota if they move

See this link: Keep Our Vikings Alive!

I can't seem to figure out the page source so as to post the graphic here, but the following text in white, on a purple background with a yellow band around the perimeter, would greet the scumbag politicians for one month if they can raise sufficient funds to rent the billboard:

50 Years Of Blood, Sweat, and Tears
KEEP OUR VIKINGS HERE!
4 Million Vikings Fans

There is no indication on the site exactly who's running this, but it does say that no sponsorship dollars will be accepted, and that it's a grassroots thing "by the fans, for the fans" in hopes of garnering local media attention.

Here's hoping they pull it off; I harbor no illusions that the politicians will pay any attention, but it can't possibly hurt....

I agree they need to move the jags or chargers that have a smaller fan base and less history . Seems like most minnesotans would rather save there little tax money and let the vikings go

I would rather stop watching the NFL all together than become a packers fan.

As someone who thinks he follows this issue fairly closely, is the NFL itself throwing in any money for a new stadium? Someone set me straight on this one, thanx :smilevike:

I remember the Rashad Hail Mary from Kramer. The game was not aired in my part of Iowa, so I was a kid listening to it on the radio feeling devastated that we were about to lose, and miss out on the playoffs? - usually people turn the TV or radio off by now, and then........

Where were you :point: when the Hail from Kramer came down?

you should print those up and sale them as bumper stickers for say $10-20 a pop (with all proceeds going to the vikings stadium relief fund)

I do remember some of the great moments, but unfortunately it's mostly the tears that stay with me.

They can't let this team leave until it wins a friggin' Superbowl (and before I die). Once they get that out of the way, I'll be officially against public money... :)
