Im kind of hoping they get a chance to reunite Anthony Barr with UCLA team mate Eric Kendricks. Kendricks is more of the new age MLBs that are a bit smaller, have alot more speed, and are 3 down LBs that handle coverage as well. He isn't much of a pass rusher, but that shouldn't be the focus for someone in that position anyway. Maybe he drops to our 2nd round pick, or maybe he is someone that Rick trades up into the back of the 1st round for. either way, would be an upgrade over everything we have now I would think. Plus, added bonus of some chemistry between him and Barr.Mothman wrote:Has anybody posted about this? Maybe I missed it.

Finally.
Hopefully they don't sign another stiff one dimensional two down backer to take his place.

Just read an article on bleacher report that is claiming Jason La Confora says Wallaces contract will stay the same... very upsetting, if this is true. Changes the whole trade.
http://m.bleacherreport.com/articles/23 ... d-analysisThe Dolphins and Vikings both confirmed the deal, while Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports noted that Wallace's contract will remain the same.

My understanding is if we don't like him we can release him next year with no dead money.
I don't understand why everyone is so concerned. We have VERY VERY healthy finances. We don't take many risks at all and this risk is only being taken because it is minimal and we can absorb a worst case outcome easily. Upside huge, downside super little.

Free-agent DE Michael Johnson says it will be a ‘hard’ decision between Vikings and Bengals
“No lie. Before it all started, I thought, ‘OK, I’m probably going back to Cincinnati.’ There’s going to be some tears shed at the end of the day about my decision. It’s going to be hard.’’
Asked if the offer made by Minnesota was a pretty good one, Johnson, said, “Yes sir.’’ Regardless, Johnson said he wanted to honor the commitment he gave earlier in the week that he would visit Cincinnati.
“I’m a loyal, respectful guy,’’ Johnson said. “When I tell you I’m going to do something, I’m going to do it. So I’m going to honor my word by going to Cincinnati and we’ll see how everything goes.’’

Thanks for the info!
Does that cheer you up a bit, HardcoreVikesFan? Johnson is still available and still considering the Vikings.

Johnson would be solid, but honestly, I wanted this team to make a play for Derrick Morgan/Brandon Graham/Jabal Sheard. Water under the bridge.

That info on Johnson actually sounded promising. I'd like to have him on the team and maybe that has more to do with Jennings being let go.

Demi, you always are entertaining, that is for sure.
I am over it. I didn't want Jennings gone, but what does it matter? I don't own the team. I don't run the player personal department. I don't coach the team. I don't play for the team. Hell, I am not even the janitor for the team. I don't have any say as to what happens with the Minnesota Vikings. At the end of the day, the organization will do what it thinks is right.

Man, I had the same exact thought run through my head as I was writing that.
"He kept getting pies in the face and everyone thought it was so funny.I didn't think it was so funny. They should have eaten the pies instead of throwing them at each other If they were mad,why didn't they just knock the crap out of each other?"

Hm, I'm not so sure. I thought about that But, you're gonna have teammates that you want to play with and make good friends where ever you play, But finding a coach that you really like, respect and want to play lights-out for, etc.........how often does an opportunity like that come to YOUR door?
Part of me feels like it's possible He's already signed and He's making the Cinci trip because he already planned to and said that he would.
However I've been known to be very wrong at times.
Fingers crossed.
