So you're saying the Vikings championship window is a very small one?S197 wrote:Nope. It's a 100 year old woman!

Who cares what the media says, all we know is that Saints fans are feeling 100% worse than what we felt after the 2010 NFC championship!808vikingsfan wrote:Kind of a nitpick but I'm getting a little irritated by how the media is portraying yesterday's game. If you didn't watch it, you would think the Saints were winning the entire game and the Vikings just got lucky at the end. As I posted earlier, the Vikings were in the lead for 97% of the game. If not for bad play calling and time management, it would have been a routine win at the end.
I actually think they'll be able to compete at a high level for a while. The big unknown is the QB situation but otherwise the team is very much in tact next year. They do have a number of guys they need to sign the following but their cap space is pretty good. If Spielman can keep working the draft, that will help fill any potential holes too.SP1966 wrote:

While we’ve certainly seen a number of stories involving the Apple Watch heart rate monitor helping to save lives, this is the first we’ve time we’ve seen reports of the Apple Watch alerting wearers that they happened to be watching one of the crazier games in NFL playoff history. To this point, Diggs’ spectacular catch yesterday marked the only time in NFL postseason history where a game-winning touchdown was scored with no time left on the clock.
I started one of those "Skol" chants at Manny's. What a FANTASTIC evening. I was so deflated in the fourth quarter -- particularly after the Saints converted on 4th down -- only to experience complete and total euphoria. I and many fans around me had tears of joy running down our faces. I was the recipient of a number of hugs from strangers. What an experience. Got back to Chicago today, and I'm now looking at flights/hotels/ticket options for Philly. Can't wait!!!Texas Vike wrote:I was at the game. I can’t even express how amazing the atmosphere was in there. After the game strangers were hugging and high fives were flying it was such collective euphoria. Later, at Mannys steakhouse folks broke out in the SKOL chant twice. The city was electric. Even this morning at MSP folks in Vikings gear are reliving it all together. I feel so fortunate to have been there.

Great story.....hope your family was just as excited as you. Let's keep this ride going. I also coach the team so that made keeping up with the 1st half problematic. anyway, long story short, heading home, streaming the game on my phone on the dashboard. like many here I was dejected. was in disbelief that after a 17 point lead this was going to be yet another lousy chapter of our teams history. then the play happened. i'm not joking when I say I nearly went off the road. I literally had to pull over for the safety of my family. this is a moment i'll never forget.
I don't know how the rest of the season will unfold, but I am so happy our season didn't end in the fashion that it looked like it might. but we get at least one more game. would love to stay on this ride.
