Now that we know Webb is starting, anything could happen. We haven't seen him play in a while and the type of QB he is I honestly don't know what the hell to expect.

Pelissero:
"Last season, Ponder started despite hip injury Dec. 11 at Detroit and it was a huge mistake with limited reps. Four turnovers, benched."

And Joe Webb nearly brought us back for a win in that game... if the refs had called the blatant facemask against Detroit we might have won that game.

I'll bet the let Webb air it out. He doesn't have much touch for the type of pass that Ponder has specialized in this year.

Meh so what. Career, Webb is 3-5 in TD-interception. He hasn't attempted a single pass this season and there's a reason he isn't a starter. I hope I'm wrong and he has a huge game though.

I think the Ponder we saw in the last game was superior to the Webb we saw the last couple years. Even so, Webb presents a matchup nightmare for the Packers. They wanted to blitz Ponder and play man against our relatively weak receivers. But Webb is incredibly hard to bring down, and if he breaks free, he'll run for 50 or 60 yards with none of the defenders looking at him, but instead following the receivers.
So I this change of pace is good in a way. I hope it makes the Pack take the game a little more lightly for one. And you know that if the weather is bad, the advantage is going to be to a team that runs well. And Webb is a better runner.
Lastly, we could have always seen the return of the bad Ponder in this game. That would have doomed us.
I hope the Vikes are loose. No team has ever started a playoff game with a QB who hadn't had a pass in the regular season? Hey, let's just go out and have some fun. Everything is trending against us. But the game still has to be played...
