Christian Ponder as our qb in a new stadium with Leslie Frazier as head coach.
Doesn't hurt to dream that all goes well and that is what happens.

I don't think I've ever felt worse about the stadium issue than I do now.

I'm confused as to what has changed in the stadium situation with this story...

This doesn't really change a whole lot imho. They need that special session to talk this deal over and get something worked out.
"Nobody is going to walk into this Capitol with an idea that will be met with palm branches," Rybak said, adding, "The reality is every single idea here is going be met with very tough politics and people at the local and state level sticking their necks out. So I'm sticking my neck out."
That's probably the big quote in that article. Nothing is gonna come easy...

Yea, Id say the Wilfs will sell during the off season if something isnt done really soon. As much as I like the Vikings, I agree no public money should be used. I would never complain if they build a stadium partially funded by public money, but if I were able to vote on the matter, Id definately vote against it.

My new metaphor for the stadium issue is similar to Christmas. The Viking fans are the little kids waiting for Christmas morning, yet they do not know what they will be receiving. Is it going to be clothes and thus a disappointment, or is it going to be that brand new bicycle they have been clamoring for for months?

Just the way I see... Either the way, the end result is going to end in pure emotion for me.

I honestly can not wrap my mind around how a fan of the Vikings could vote against keeping them in Minnesota. I think it's pretty clear the state benefits in numerous ways from the franchise being here. From revenue, quality of life, taxes paid, a better image, tradition, family gatherings, etc...etc... even small things like the look on a kids face when he gets to go to a game and memories that kid will have with his father, uncle, grandpa...etc...etc... I just don't get it........

First of all, I never said I would vote against keeping them in Minnesota. What I said, is, IF I had a vote on weather to use taxpayers money, I would vote against it. Wilf/The Vikings/The NFL can build the stadium. Never, not once, ever, did I say I would vote against keeping them in Minny. What about the taxpayers who absolutely hate football and live in the area thats taxed?? Add to that, a new stadium will certainly put tickets out of most common folks price range anyways. There are things in the state, that benefit just as many, if not more people, that the state didnt pay for. I hope they stay, but I hope the state doesnt give em a dime. If they do, I wont be upset, as it wont effect me, but I think its wrong. Very wrong.

No, probably not, but where do you draw the line?? What about Minnesotans who arent Vikings/football fans?? Would you be OK if they used taxpayer money to build a billion dollar NASCAR track??? I know I wouldnt.

Send e-mails to your representatives, also send to the ones saying no even if they don't represent your district. Maybe it won't matter but we must try.
