Time to go home and hug the kids. This story has left me with chills all day.

What a sick world we live in.

What would posses someone to even hit a 2 year old let alone full out assault one.
Supposedly this guy has assaulted his previous girlfriend of wife... which makes me question why you would leave your child alone with a man who has a history of violence when hes angry.

Yea it's a problem. But there's not much people can do to stop evil/crazy other than realizing your surroundings.

My guess is the boyfriend thought it was his kid and flipped when they found out it was Peterson's. In one the articles today it said the kid's last name wasn't Peterson and another said Peterson only found out recently it was his kid so put two and two together and there's the motive.

About as sad as it gets, wish there was more we could do for Adrian.

I would not only blame the abuser but also the 'mother' that would put her child at risk like that. Recently started dating and already moved in? WTH??? With a 2 year old child?

Yes, there is a special place in hell for those who abuse the ones who can not defend themselves - human and otherwise. May they rot.

completely unfair. my wife and I met 9 years ago and she already had a son from a previous relationship. we fell in love and we were living together just a few weeks later. now we have been married over 8 years and have a beautiful family.

if you want to blame someone start with the guy who murdered the kid. if that's not enough maybe the system we have that would let a convicted woman/child beater out of jail after a year. it's real easy after the fact to blame the victims and say they should have known better. but we don't know all the details. we don't know if the woman knew her life or her childs life were in danger. do we even know if she was aware of his violent past?

if it was so obvious that this lady was putting herself and her child in danger than I blame everyone else around her for not stepping in. I bet this isn't the case. evil people do evil things and instead of using hindsight to blame everyone else let's blame the offender. and maybe work to get stronger laws on "men" who put their hands on women and children?
i'm ready for a beer.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Adrian!

As for the guy that did it, he sure better get a very, very long bid in the bighouse. There's no place in the world for people like him

Truly tragic. Violence has become so commonplace in our society. What has happened to our species that we couldn't have evolved beyond this point after this number of millennia?

As for AD, my heart goes out to him and to the mother. And may the child rest in peace.
