Horrible play calls and execution.
It's time to take back what was rightfully ours in '98....and '09!!

Not surprised, still has a little business card as a playing call book.mondry wrote:Sigh, I mean it's the lions but really? run run pass musgrave? same old same old musgrave.

they will start calling play action in the 4th when the game is out of reach
Re: Vikings @ Lions Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 1
I don't complain about play-calling as much as some others on here, but you don't follow a 78-yard TD run with 2 more runs. You use this thing called play action, where you fake the handoff and then pass.
Run-run-pass following the long run. That's just... no.
Good to see Ponder looks the same too.

3rd and 11 and Mr Happy feet stares down his primary WR, and then runs....some things never change
Re: Vikings @ Lions Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 1
Maybe it's not that our receivers can't get open... maybe it's that they can't get open enough for Ponder to feel he can get the ball to them. Ponder's lack of confidence in his own arm might be a big factor in our overall lack of passing potency.
