Re: Twins
What the HELL did Ullger send Hardy when he wasn't even at 3rd yet and the SS (the cutoff man) had the ball in his glove??? He was out by like 40 feet.
But, it was a great road trip, 5-2 is far better than I would have expected. I hope this success continues!! Go Twins!

That base running was definately a head scratcher. Very questionable, the only reason Im not too upset, Punto was on deck, the game was over anyways, its like he must swing with his eyes closed..............I HATE watching him at bat.

Re: Twins
Absolutely AWESOME win today. The Twins lost both Stadium openers at the Met and the Metrodome. So finally, a great start to a new stadium. Here is a question I have. The Twins Moved from D.C. in 1960. They were the Washington Nationals. (although many called the team the Senators still) The twins lost their first game as a franchise against the Washington Senators. This confuses me. The Nationals(senators) became the twins, and D.C. had a new team the very next season?? really? That seems so impossible to me, with the way things work now days.

Yep, Wash had a team the next year, and then shortyl after that they moved to Arlington and became the Texas Rangers.

Woohoo, 8-0 win over the RedSox today. And most importantly: Liriano had a very good & dominant performance. 7 innings, no runs, 8 Ks. VERY GOOD SIGN.

Oh, oh, tell us what the new stadium is like when you get back home! And make sure you sample the food, too!

Re: Twins
I've been there twice already. I got a 20 game pack and they gave me one exhibition game for free. It is OUTSTANDING!! I thought I had posted pics here already, maybe not?DeeEss57 wrote:

Re: Twins
Man, that place looks amazing. So great to have the Twins playing outside.
I really gotta get there for a weekend series, preferably a day and night game. Looks like there's not a bad seat in the house?

Re: Twins
After watching the home opener, I wanted to go to a game so bad! We'll have to wait until later in the season, though. And, looking at the schedule, I see they're actually home during the State Fair! How often has that happened? Looks like we'll try to get there when we come down for the Fair!

Re: Twins
It is funny, in this article: http://minnesota.twins.mlb.com/news/art ... p&c_id=min they say how the Twins offense is struggling, which I do agree with for the most part (Span, Kubel, Hardy, and Harris are all batting in the low .200s), yet they are still leading the ML in scoring, and scoring at about 6 runs per game. Can you imagine if the offense is firing on all cylinders what it would be like?
