Re: Toby Gerhart is a bum

He's been injured, in a putrid offence behind a horrid offensive line with some of the most reliable playmakers on his team (ex: Shorts III) sidelined.

He's just not in a great position right now.

Re: Frazier D Does it Again xD

Our defence with most of the same components looks markedly better than last year already despite the buttwhooping last week.

To be fair though, I'm pretty sure Lovie has the reigns over the Tampa D even though Frazier has been a proponent of a similar (outdated??) defence and is in charge of ...

Re: Jarad Allen ...

Allen's been playing ok for us.
Hasn't gotten home yet, but he's made his presence known on a couple big plays. Had a nice forced fumble on Kaepernick the other night. I don't expect he'll get 15 sacks, but the Bears needed a competent pass rusher after Peppers simply gave up early last year. The ...

Re: Film analysis of week 2

This is an interesting quick-take of the offence from the other side.

http://patspub.patsfans.com/2014/09/16/ ... s-weapons/

I'm not sure it's quite as damning for our defence as the author is making it out to be, then again he's pretty critical of Brady as well.

Re: Is there a possibility of an AD trade?

At this point, before his arraignment (and any other major news) it's really hard to say anything definitively.

The court of public opinion (which of course influences the NFL's position, now more than ever) has come out harder than most expected, so that may play a huge factor; then again we've ...

Re: Jerome Simpson in trouble again...

Sad to see him be a dummy and, (subsequently) sad to see him go.

He was definitely a spark, but if he cannot keep out of trouble there's not really a reliable spot on a roster for someone like that.

Perhaps there was bold writing on the wall already and this was a 'don't care anymore' move, but ...

Re: Mike Zimmer on Peterson's effect on the team loss

To be honest i didnt watch the game. I worked and knew we got crushed and
wasnt feeling like watching the Vikings after all the Peterson stuff.

from what I.read the OL and Cassel were the two biggest factors in the loss.

We came out very hot. The offence looked great going down the field on ...

No it's 100% in Cliffs hands now, and Cliff wasn't in on shutting it down.

After reading the sticky, like you said, it seems like it's now in Cliff's hands. I do hope the site wont be shut down again; if more abuse occurs perhaps other techniques for 'troll supression' can be used.

I wouldn't ...

Re: Jarad Allen ...

Should have traded him after his almost record year. Could have had another piece or two right now...

Probably right .. hindsight is always better..

Right now I am wishing we cashed on Peterson to Jerry Jones a heck of a lot more ...

This whole AD thing really came out of nowhere. That said, I ...

Re: Beware of Trolls

After a temporary ban, I am back. It seems "new" members who are "old" Vikings fans are shunned based on the number of their posts and labeled as trolls. How about we focus on the quality, not quantity of the posts before passing judgement on a new member? What is the number of posts needed to be ...

Re: Jarad Allen ...

Didn't he pass on an offer from the Seahawks? I remember that he was holding out for more money that he never got, but that still seems insane, why wouldn't you want to go to a superbowl favorite?

Maybe he was scared of the competition and being the starter.
If he got a contract from them w ...

Looks like Welker is back according to this:

Re: Mike Zimmer on Peterson's effect on the team loss

He's definitely "hot and cold" We got a good dose of "cold" last Sunday. Quite a contrast from his 113.7 rating he posted during the season opener.

I guess that's part of my point as well. Things were going to plan in the Rams game. Sure AD didn't break off too many runs, but we knew that they ...

Re: CP84 as a receiver...

With Adrian out indefinitely, I wouldn't mind seeing us use Flash as our halfback, even just for 25-35% of the snaps. We have lined him (and Percy, once upon a time) up in the I-Formation, and had success with it in the past.

I would love this as well, but from what I understand CP isn't strong ...

Re: CP84 as a receiver...

is it me or did you just say our WRs are terrible until Jerome Simpson comes back???

If you remember, Simpson had plenty of chances to prove he could be our #1 WR and never even came close. Struggled with drops often and was very ineffective at times. Not sure why you like him so much. i ...
