Re: Your prized Vikings posessions.
I still have a Viking bobble head doll I bought during the 1976 season. I've grown attached to it over many years because it has survived me throwing it against the wall after Super Bowl XI, 41-0 playoff defeat, 1998 playoff game defeat, 2009 season playoff defeat, Ponder's last interception. I keep ...

Re: Vikings' "top plays" ever (voting needed for Kramer TD)
Something else I had forgotten. John Randle got hurt and was not on the field late in the 4th quarter. He was our best D.L. at the time. All he could do was watch it from the sidelines.

Re: Vikings' "top plays" ever (voting needed for Kramer TD)
My most memorable will always be the 1975 Hail Mary screwed up by the defense. Pearson should have been double covered. Most memorable doesn't mean the most outstanding play. I know Mothman is pulling for his guy Kramer. I just can't do it. I voted for the Gary Anderson miss. That one was in the bag ...

Re: Teddy Bridgewater
Hopefully the coaches will bring Teddy along slowly. This team isn't going to the playoffs this year anyway. The Texans ruined David Carr by pushing him in to service too soon. Numerous other guys were pressed in to service when they weren't ready. Let Cassel start and have Ponder backing him up ...

Re: vikes wanted manziel
Here in Houston, the local media anticipated drafting Bridgewater with the first pick in round 2. The Vikes thought enough of him to move up. I was hoping for Carr or Garapalo or Mettenberger. Pro Day for Bridgewater was almost painful to watch. He couldn't hit the side of a barn and his passes had ...

Hopefully he'll turn in to a cross between Alan Page and Keith Millard. I was never a Randle fan.

Re: Decision on Ponder's option may not be easy
Excluding the money issue....Cut him as soon as possible. Money or not, he is still taking up a roster spot. I hope they eat the cash and dump the guy. I give them credit for trying to draft a quarterback...It just didn't work out. Close the book on Ponder. New coaching staff, outdoor football for ...

STOP-GAP starters... All we've had is stop gap starters since Kramer left. OK maybe Culpepper would be the exception.

Re: Your top 5 favorite and least favorite Vikings
More old timer input here. Its interesting to see so many similar lists. I would like to emphasize that all these players were signed because of management decisions. The players are what they were. Management made them Vikings anyway. I think in some cases blaming the players would be incorrect. If ...

Re: Vikings QB of the future search list
Lets give the G.M. a chance in this draft. I'm still hoping for Manziel. I heard Mayock discuss Carr the other day. The review sounded just like Ponder. If the pocket holds and the primary receiver is open, he looks great. If not, he runs... Ponder II.. If they do draft a QB, I can't see them ...

Re: Vikings trade Adrian Peterson for 1st round pick
Peterson is on the back side of his career. If the Vikes acquired the first pick and drafted Clowney, then followed with a quarterback at 8... That would be a good deal.

Re: Do you want Johnny Manziel at #8?
Saw Manziel's Pro Day at A & M. Then the Gruden interview. I hope we get this guy. Good throws, good answers and a blessing from Chucky. Francis was 6 ft 190lbs. Manziel is 5' 11 3/4", 203 lbs. If we don't get him, I hope the Texans get the kid. If he goes to Cleveland or Jax, he won't survive those ...

Re: Vikings QB of the future search list
Strong rumors here in Houston that Bortles will be the first pick. He had a very good workout. Oakland traded for Schaub so they have their Q.B. and the Texans also just signed Ryan Fitzpatrick. Carr had a very good workout the other day. Hopefully he can read defenses better then his older brother ...
