I mentioned in another recent thread that I have been watching the Vikings since game one in 1961 when I was ten years old. I don't think the refs are any worse now than they were 20-30 years ago. I just think the rules have gotten more complicated leading to more mistakes, and TV cameras/coverage has gotten so much better that none of the mistakes ...

I think I remember the 85 year with Bud Grant (I was 10 years old), but Jerry Burns was coach when I really started paying attention.

Yes. Keenum could be a long term solution, Brees would not be.

I think we should franchise him for a year, regardless of wins & losses from here on. I think that would put his salary ~$25million for one year (average of the top 5 QB salaries, right?). Then we'd get to see what Case is like without Shurmur for a year without long term commitment.
