Some guy named Dugger. No, wait. Diddy. Digger? Diggy? Diggs. DIGGS. That’s it!

Re: Offseason Thread

A contract is being discussed with Ryan Tannehill. Not sure if an agreement will be reach but I think he would be a good backup.
Talks are ongoing between the Vikings and Tannehill, but nothing is imminent.
Tannehill, an 11-year NFL veteran, did not play last season. From 2012 to '23 with the ...

Re: Offseason Thread

Here’s the thing about Bradbury.

The Vikings designated him as a post-June 1 cut. That means his dead cap can be spread out over 2025 and 2026.

Normally you do this with somebody who has a large dead cap hit, such as Kirk Cousins. You spread out $50 million or more in dead cap over two years ...

Re: Offseason Thread

Re: Why aren't the Vikings spending more of their cap.

Apparently if they spend too much in FA at a certain point they potentially lose comp picks. They should have got two 3rds comped this year, one for Cousins and one for Hunter but they crossed the threshold and lost the one for Hunter ...

Re: Offseason Thread

The Aaron Rodgers rumors to the Vikings are over!

Tom Pellisaro from NFL Network was on KFAN radio and reported that the Vikings did their due diligence and considered it, but he didn’t think it was likely it would have happened. Also the
Vinings said they have rejected multiple trade offers ...

Vikings Sign CB Jeff Okudah to a 1-Year Contract

Here’s another one of these strange pickups.

Dude was the No. 3 pick in the 2020 draft. As in “19 picks ahead of Justin Jefferson.” Yet here he is, on his fourth team in 3 years.

The Vikings under Kwesi have a strange history of picking up ...

Re: Offseason Thread

Update

According to Mike Silver of The Athletic, it’s 50-50 that Aaron Rodgers will sign with Minnesota. He also says the decision belongs solely to Kevin O’Connell.

And to think, I just applied for season tickets. I’ve waited my whole life for this. If I have to watch that weirdo … I swear I ...

Re: Offseason Thread

Would they even have the cap to sign Rodgers if they wanted to? They seem to have basically spent their "high dollar" player cash.

Latest I’ve heard is that the Vikings are still $30+million under the cap, due to a lot of back-ending of the deals they’ve signed. That was before they signed ...

Re: Offseason Thread

The Vikings have traded Ed Ingram to the Texans.
Minnesota is sending the guard to Houston in exchange for a sixth-round selection in the 2026 NFL Draft, the team announced Thursday.
I'm surprised they got anything.

I’m pleasantly surprised.

Makes you wonder about Garrett Bradbury, who’s been ...

Re: Offseason Thread

Love the signings of Will Fries and Jonathan Allen. Directly addressed two huge areas of need.

Here’s an under-the-radar bonus … Ryan Kelly at center has already worked extensively with Fries in Indianapolis. The communication will be there from the jump.

As long as both are healthy, the Vikings ...

Cam Bynum is gone. Goes to the Colts, 4 years, $60 million.

Saw that one coming when the Vikings extended Theo Jackson.

Re: Offseason Thread

Isaiah Rodgers is headed to the NFC North.

Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Rodgers has agreed to a two-year contract with the Vikings.

Schefter notes the deal is worth $15 million with $8 million fully guaranteed.

I almost lost my mind for a moment. I thought it said Aaron Rodgers.

Whew! I was ...

Jones back on a 2 year deal worth 20 million, with 13 million guaranteed.

Insane money to spend on a RB who will be 31 by the end of the year, and just more evidence that Kwesi has no idea what he is doing. Due to his complete lack of foresight at RB, he had nothing at RB, and overpaid an aging ...

Re: Offseason Thread

Good grief. As if things couldn’t get worse.

Seattle just traded Geno Smith to the Raiders for a 2025 3rd round pick.

The Vikings didn’t use the franchise tag for Sam Darnold because they couldn’t find a trade partner … but Seattle could?

This tells me that at least the Raiders saw Geno Smith ...
