Re: Adrian Peterson Indicted for Child Abuse
We just need to hold on until all the evidence is gathered and we get more details. And we will. I'm 55 and those of you of my generation know that this was/is a fairly common form of punishment for many kids. I don't actually remember my Mom taking a switch to me, but she sure threatened it a lot ...

Re: Who should start at QB?
See Ponder's career for a prime example, a rookie with no training camp, followed by being thrown into the fire after the Mcflab fiasco.
Well Bridgewater better be way more capable of starting than Ponder was or the Vikings wasted another pick.
And Moth, I said "nearly" all of the top QBs ...

Re: Who should start at QB?
Quite a bit, I imagine. Giving a player time to get thoroughly familiar with the offense and his receivers, time to work on any mechanical issues he may have and turn bad habits into good, etc. before he hits the field and faces split-second decisions at game speed against opponents with bad ...

Re: Who should start at QB?
A fluke play? A defensive player gets pretty much a coverage sack and forces a fumble and thats a fluke play?
Bruise is so blinded by Florida State love. I don't care what the stats say. I know what I saw last season . Cassel was clearly the better QB.
I have softened a bit and have said I'd ...

Re: Report: Vikes looking to "get rid of" AP (AD)
The only option I would vote for isn't available.
The "Only if some team offers some ridiculous package that would be crazy to pass up but will never happen because no team is stupid enough to make the Herschel Walker trade 2.0" option.
Short of that...no way!!

Good thing. Noodle armed midget with a Napoleon complex and a me first spoiled brat personality. :nono:
Yep. I didn't really care who the Vikings drafted at QB as long as it wasn't Manziel. I was luke warm on Teddy but he's our guy now so I hope he's amazing.

Re: 2014 Vikings Draft Party
Even though I live in Kansas, I had Viking season tix for 12 years. '93-'05. I used to go to the draft party when they had it at MOA in the Rotunda. That was a blast!
Most vivid memory though wasn't that great. I was having car trouble and borrowed a friends' new SUV to make the trip. Brought my ...

Re: If teddy is there at #8 do you take him now?
It's mostly stuff I'm reading on the rumors boards. Apparently, Jones is having second thoughts about that deal and/or has become infatuated with Manziel. Either way, if the rumor is true it's worth going fishing if Manziel is still there at #8.
Of course Jerry loves Manziel. Jerry is all about ...

Re: If teddy is there at #8 do you take him now?
Mike Mayock has Bridgewater projected as a second round pick now.
What a free-fall! This guy has gone from the clear-cut top QB to a projected second rounder!!
This can't all be because he's looked shaky in some workouts. He must not be interviewing very well either.

Re: If teddy is there at #8 do you take him now?
This quote below was in a Star Tribune article this morning about the active role Zimmer is taking in scouting this draft:
Presumably, they've discussed the QBs available and answered those questions for themselves so should they take Bridgewater at #8? If they feel he is the best fit, they ...

Re: Petersons future speculation.
I'm really tiring of all the speculation about AD's future when he's still the best back in the league. Why does everybody seem to feel that he's right on the doorstep of being a washed up has-been?

I don't know about busts but Picking Joey Browner over dan marino sure was a huge mistake. Joey Browner was a very very good Player mind you, but passing on marino was a major mistake

Re: Top five biggest Vikings draft busts.
Ponder never uttered a word about being benched (would love to see your source about that and him being a "cry baby"). In fact he remained upbeat and is to this day looking forward to the new staff and the opprotunity/challenge to compete for the job.
Being one of the more active Ponder ...
